But he meets a Dryad, or nature spirit, who fights back and gives him more than he expects. The film deals elegantly with themes of political conflict, war and the cycle of violence, as well as mankind’s conflict with nature, mankind’s conflict with womankind, and other themes including tolerance, attraction, good, evil and redemption.
