On the night of October 31st, 1934, Count Igor invites some guests for the weekend in his castle in Hungary. Amongst his guests there is Sonya who meets Hugh, her ex-lover. Sonya hopes to re-kindle their passionate love affair but is taken by jealousy when she discovers that Hugh has come with his new love, Lily, who is pregnant. In the mean time, Count Igor regales his guests with stories of Central European folklore and vampires. Later that night they hear a terrifying scream.
