Details:

Joe Davis, the sheriff, loves and is loved by Alice Craig. Billy Craig, her brother and the town loafer, is induced to join “Dorley’s” gang, and they hold up and rob the Eagle City Bank. The sheriff leads his posse in pursuit of the bandits and after a thrilling chase, in which the riders accomplish many daredevil, risky feats of horsemanship, he dismounts and goes after Billy Craig. The bullets, real bullets, fly thick and fast. They strike the sheriff’s drinking cup; stones are shattered, and a piece of a tree is shot away by Craig in his attempt to escape. The sheriff finally gets his man and is horror stricken to find in him the brother of his sweetheart. On the return to town Alice meets the sheriff and pleads for her brother’s release, assuring him that if he jails Billy, all is over between them. He wavers but a moment between love and duty and then takes the boy to jail.
