This fast-paced featurette goes behind the scenes of the movie’s production and provides a variety of perspectives. The actors talk about preparation and working in the action milieu, screenwriter Bomback and Scott discuss the evolution of the script and extensive research that went into it, and we learn how the locations were selected. Scott notes he wanted to keep CGI to a minimum, and we get a peek at some of the innovative cranes and camera cars he used to get the shots, hear about the huge role aerial photography played, and see how the fluid 360-degree shots were captured. Railroad executives also chime in about their industry’s involvement in the shooting in this slick piece that features a wealth of on-set footage. |
