‘Lost in the City’ is a film about James, a doorman from Harlem, New York. One day at work, James receives a call that is father is dying, and decides to take time off from work to visit him in Florida. Upon returning to New York City, James spends his day wandering through the streets, having brief encounters with strangers which leave him feeling more isolated than ever. That is until he happens upon a basketball court and forms a friendship with Raheem, a young man practicing to make his Middle School basketball team. But after their friendship gets off to a good start, a subtle act of insensitivity proves their relationship may not be as stable as it seems. |
