Sometimes the people who need us most are the ones we fail to notice. Inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s classic short story ‘The Little Match Girl,’ this modern short film tells the tale of ‘Matches,’ a poor girl who is invisible to the world around her. After a particularly cold night she meets a mysterious figure who calls himself ‘Gabe.’ This introduction leads Matches to a reality where she is warm, fed, and always loved. But not everything is necessarily what it seems. |
