Details:

In 1997-1998, many Bedouin refugees living under Israeli Occupation were forcibly displaced by Israel to a garbage dump. During this entire period, the Oslo Peace Process was ongoing, with ‘high hopes’ for peace. During today’s peace talks, a plan exists to forcibly displace some 3,000 Bedouin refugees for settlement expansion in the Jerusalem Periphery (E1) and subsequently another 27,000 Bedouin and other Palestinian herders in Area C of the OPT.
