Lin Isa collected his first pitching victory as an 11 year-old in fifth grade. The same year, with the slam of his gavel a judge sentenced his father, Lin Xin-yi, to a prison term. The former home run king thus took the glory he earned and the disgrace he deserved for betting and throwing games into his cell with him.
