Soul uplifting and thought provoking movies to elevate and amplify perspectives

Movies with characters who are naturally stoic and reluctant to grow close to others. They aren’t devoid of personality, but it’s closely guarded. Perhaps they start out as blank canvasses, but develop an inner life as the film progresses.

These are movies that take place during and after the end of the world. I am a cinematic preppier who loves to see how people react when civilisation crumbles and it’s survival of the fittest.
