Emmi and Peter Hansen want to fulfill their lifelong dream and travel to Paris by boat. But Doctor Ballouz's diagnosis presents both of them with a major challenge. He diagnoses Emmi with colon cancer, which is no longer curable at this stage. Peter finds out about the diagnosis earlier and asks Ballouz not to say anything to his wife so that she can experience the last few days carefree and they can start their journey. Ole Brenner has been waiting for a new kidney for over six years when the call finally comes: a suitable donor kidney has been found. But when Barbara and Mark receive the organ, they make a terrible discovery: the kidney was prepared incorrectly and cannot be transplanted to Ole. As Ole's condition worsens, his husband Ralf offers to donate one of his kidneys. |
