According to the report, Disney is teaming up with "For All Mankind" creator Ron Moore to develop a franchise for the streaming service set in the world of Magic Kingdom. The first project for the new "Magic Kingdom Universe" will be inspired by The Society of Explorers and Adventurers and set in a world where all of the themed lands and characters of the Disney Parks and films actually exist. The rumored premise of the series would explore characters from the parks as part of the world of S.E.A. – "like a sea boat captain from the Jungle Cruise or prospector from Big Thunder Mountain or the climbers of the Matterhorn," though none of these characters are set in stone at this time.Moore is reportedly working closely with Walt Disney Imagineering to bring this world to life, and that a search is already underway for writers to join the project.Should it transcend rumor and come to fruition, the Magic Kingdom Universe and S.E.A. series would be the latest in a treasure trove of franchises for Disney+, following the path set by Marvel and Star Wars projects like "WandaVision" and "The Mandalorian" on the service.
