Was better than I expected it would be. Still, they just can’t pull off the great slap stick comedy from the 80’s and 90’s anymore. Whether the graininess of the video helped or the writers just understanding it better, maybe the combination of the two. This, while having some funny bits, is a glimmer of what it use to be. 6.5/10
I did love the, “20 years for mans laughter”, bit. That was simple, funny, slap stick.

dAMN! Only 6 episodes, I really hope for a second season, best series to have dropped for awhile!
WARNING WARNING: This film was absolute shit. Skipped through it, got the point but man, wish they got their inspiration from actual 240mile run triathlons around the world aside from lobotomizing a Stephen King novell then they could actually kinda drive a point home.
Such an angry review for someone who admittedly didnt even watch the movie.
I loved this! Of the majority of Bruce Willis Films since 2018, this one held my attention from the sight of Jesse Metcalfe. He held this flick together well despite quite a few unspoken plot holes being included visual/scripted and unexplained in great detail, Yet, several scenes later the unspoken was explained. Watching the lights going out in Bruce Willis’s eyes in so many films, including this one, is so sad. Especially knowing what we all know about his deteriorating health. A secret no one new 3-4 years ago during the release of so many films billed in his name before announcing his medically required retirement. His, voice/cadence, syntax, personality all but a zombie of what he once was on screen decades ago. Dementia/ALZ comes in dozens of sub-ailments unknown to general public. Moreso known by those who are caregivers and medical personnel.
As for the majority of the rest of supporting cast, Shannon Doherty(Pru Halliwell/Charmed(original tv series) was a nice addition but her own health issues were showing on screen, too. The rest of the motley crew either underacted or overacted their parts into a lack of unsynchronized chemistry.
Despite this, I still enjoyed the film.
This movie rocks. I just watched it for the second time and still had the same fun. That final scene is hilarious and the two main characters carry the movie gracefully.
This is not a thriller/gore movie… its a road movie/drama with violence that is not used for shock but to accentuate the drama. The end is kind of touching and sad but the movie has a way of making it all feel light in a strange way. This definitly deserves more attention.
Good season finale but the season was weak compared to the first 2, and how could Demerzel not have predicted that Dawn would go insane.
I think Demerzel knows that’s why all the other Dusks have their lives ended around this time, but circumstances abound with the Dawn and Days away from the place when poop had hit the fan (:
Ep5: Absolute poop of an episode compared to the previous ones. Lazy standard writing of making the MC do a complete 180 from the start of the Episode, of being a smart, charming character who hits above his weight class to complete annoying dumb jackass so that we can have some sort of paint by number redeption arc in the next ep. Dissappointing to say the least. Ugggh and I was waitng for this ep too.
P.S. All Dan Fogler scenes still killing it as usual (:

I am totally loving this in almost every aspect, being a TNG fan since I was 13 (now 41), but I have to admit, even though I can tend to swear like a sailor, I’m not digging the F bombs. It’s just not Trek. Feels like they threw them in there just to be edgy. Every time it was said it felt calculated, yet still out of place. Almost like a certain purity had been removed. I’m not too sure Gene Roddenberry would approve. Just my two cents….
Although I haven’t been a Trek fan for long, I started my binge with DS9 coming from Babylon 5, and am now half way through season 5 of Voyager and planning my next move, not entirely sure if I should skip TOS and go straight into TNG followed by Picard, or if I should skip those two entirely and just move onto Picard to continue Seven’s story line, my point is, I 100% agree with your comment about the F bombs, I can just imagine in the back of my mind Janeway or Cisco dropping Fbombs, and it just wouldn’t fit, not even for someone like Commander Kira or B’Elonna.
The first time I watched this movie - I hated it. The second time I watched this movie - I HATED IT. But both times, I just knew I was missing something. So I buckled down, turned off the phone, and actually watched the movie. And… it’s my all time favorite movie. The many tiny complexities are so perfect. And it asks so many questions that are fascinating and difficult to answer.
I’ve always gravitated toward heavier movies - violent, serious movies. And I love hard endings. This movie is perfect for that sort of person. 5/5.
thanks to your comment, I’m going to give this movie another watch. I found my mind wandering the first two tries but I knew somewhere in my mind (as you did) that this is a significantly good movie. so here goes with an open mind.
Hilarious! Nothing edgy, philosophical or controversial, just some simple fun and laughs. I never even heard of him until today.
Based solely on the trailer, straight to Video Store Cult Movie Section list. Mazeltov :)
Patton Oswalt!!!
ps. stay right until the end for an awesome post-credit.
Hurry up December !! I cant wait to see this masterpiece!!! I love Emily Warson n Jess Buckley !
I couldn’t finish the first episode. It was awful.
I watched the second because sometimes a show doesn’t pick up speed right away, but this was just so freaking annoying! It made me want to shake that sister. It’s like she is deaf, and can’t hear words right. I’m a grammar not see, so I just couldn’t stand it anymore.
I’ve been losing interest in this show as this season progressed. This was the only one that had any actual story to it beyond the increasing ‘soap opera’ that has been taking over the writing. It has been becoming more and more like the wreck, ‘Discovery’. I think it shows the weakness of the writing staff that the only episode that was anywhere close to Space, exploration, New Worlds or new civilization had to be inspired by a classic 50 year old story. 4/5 for this episode. 2/5 for the season
This show is just bad. The characters are annoying, especially the Kiwi sister, half of the dialogue is in greek and the closed captions only work for half of that. I watched 2 episodes out of boredom, but just couldn’t get any further.
I got into this and loved it, too bad they took almost two seasons on a subject they could have made more then three seasons no doubt spread it out about many other cartels too, since I know that pablo had been part of like a team of cartel heads, give it a chance you might like it.
Yes, I watched this 3 days ago! And today too! God Bless those lost Souls!

how many times the same story?…always helping the oppressed and then it gets worse for the “victims”…now romeo and juliet in spain..
the writers must have a very “channeled” view about european countries
This is sensational garbage. The reality is much more mundane. This was a disturbed young man and the devil did not make him do it. I know logic and reason can be boring. Probably wouldn’t make good tv.
Fabulous movie. I’d watch it again for sure. Bale and Adams are a winning team in the movie business, everything they do together is gold
Just tried watching this on 2 different links, quality is good, but the volume sucks…
except for the fish scene, wasnt all that funny despite the claim. nevertheless its always nice seeing different relationship styles being explored. friends as lovers, lovers as friends and friends on par with lovers. just a bit bourgie
“Could use more character development. Set design was also lacking.” - Libs368
It seems like the theme that winds through all three movies is the nature and depth of male friendship. Time travel is the device or backdrop, but the bonds between best friends seems to be the subject.
I enjoyed all three, with their slow burn pace and unique filming choices. I can only think of one film that compares, “Primer”.
“Primer” explored the nature of friendship too, but in a more cynical way. It’s a movie essentially about how far can you trust your best friend with a time machine. I enjoyed the director’s interview about his conceit, which originally was not going to be a sci fi.

Primer is such a mindfv(k of a movie. Love it. Had to watch it several times to truly understand it. It’s such an intense & brilliant low budget sci-fi movie. I can see the parallels you’ve talked about w/this movie.
Have you seen the director’s 2nd film called Upstream Color? It’s even more of a mindfv(k of a film but quite fascinating. I’ve watched it several times & still not sure what it’s about lol. It’s one of those movies that each person can have different interpretations of it’s meaning. I really felt I understood it on an emotional level though. The emotions expressed in it are real & relatable. Definitely avant garde film. The acting is superb as is the photography.
I do still favour the 2002 version even though they did change the story ie. Robert is not actually Dante’s son etc., but this one wasn’t that bad. In this version they were able to stay a more faithful to the book and show a bit more into his plot for revenge and show us more characters from the book, though it did seem a bit dragged out at points, I didn’t mind it. If you like period dramas, you should like this!
This is produced by The Endless producers which if this is anywhere near as great & trippy as that film it should be quite excellent.
gets me a little teary eyed-glad he’s following his papa’s acting steps.

It reads September 14 above so that’s confusing
TV guide and youtube fox trailer both say 9/23
