i officially crown this episode as the worst star trek episode in any series ever - summon Section 31, the Tel’Shi’ar, the Obsidian Order and every other shady star trek intel group; find whoever wrote this episode and the composer and put them on a Klingon prison moon with guards from every single one of those groups - I need a tankard of romulan ale just to deal with what I just saw. Maybe some bleach for my eyes too

it’s hard to read our tv is pretty far across and we had to pause to read. that color and it comes out with a haze. i got why they do it but they could at least clear it up a little and let it sit there for about 10 minutes lol

As a 33 y/o season 5 day 1 stan, seasons 1-4 especially were just peak Dexter
It’s crazy Resurrection is what brought back those feelings once again for me. New Blood almost got it, but Original Sin fumbled hard. I love Christian Slater in many other things, but he just didn’t carry Harry’s gravitas and demeanor. The only miss-casted character in the prequel

great homage ep, but i though the xenomorph was more anthropomorphic than i remember.. i thought they were more lithe, where this one was broad shoulders human in a suit kinda thing.. but i really liked the atmosphere and aesthetics for this one

The world of Alien - all of the corporations are villains. The only “good guys” are those who are eventually corrupted or bought out. He may seem like a villain but this episode definitely highlights he isn’t 100% their dog.

To keep it feeling like it’s in the same “future” as the original Alien movie. If they updated it, they’d get nerdrage. The sound effects are iconic for the series now as well.

It takes place 2 years before the first movie was set (Which was made in 1979). So Noah Hawley was just trying to keep it looking within the same setting as the original Alien when in space.

I do not see Morrow as the Villian in this show. I completely understand his motives. There is no malice in his actions just a drive to complete the mission he was given. He isn’t responsible for the crew’s demise nor the crash, but he knows who is.

I watched because of Philip Seymour Hoffman and was not disappointed. He does a great job in his role as well as the rest of the cast. All around good script, editing, and acting. 7/10

People being taken out in jail by external forces has been a plot trope for a gajillion years of film and television, the whole of the radio-drama era, not to mention in written fiction before that all the way up to today…

I don’t like Savannah and have never liked her. I cannot see Chase not asking her what he can do to help with his siblings. I just cannot. Knowing how Savannah is, she probably has told him and the others that everything is fine and she is okay. Just to be able to say, I did everything. Not one person helped me. I would lay money on it. Why? Because of how close they all were before this happened. Chase had his moments, but I don’t see him sitting there twittling his thumbs, while their world fell apart. And I think it’s sad that Julies parents were pretty much living off her and Todd and when they went away, they had nothing. Like WHAT?? Now they are living with Chase? Taking in your grandparents is no small thing either Savannah. Idk, I just don’t like her. She’s being a total witch. Personally, I think Todd and Julie were guitly and they got caught. I didn’t watch the show for them anyhow. I watched for Nanny Faye lol. SHE was the star imo.

I actually got a little emotional when Seven had said “you are hurting me” at the end of this episode. I think this is not only the first time Seven has outwardly voiced emotional pain, but her first time feeling a real sense of caring, and now having to deal with losing it. Seven’s story is so tragic in it’s own it’s a shame an experience like this has to come for her so soon.
