Resident Alien (2021) S4 E8

Lol….stitching movies…or entire series out of what’s already out there.

Jirido 8 points 4 months ago*.

An much better answer than me whining about my spiritual pains and uncomfortable a*al plug is an advice. When you look at movies and think.. Urff.. Why could they not better have.. Write it down. Humor, ideas, subjects, movie title and times. Whatever it is, jot it down!! Not necessarily very detailed, but just as a reminder that you can use to find the idea later. They grow you know..
I will try to write a post about how I see that we could build a support space for it on the forum.
For me it would be an natural extension of this space and a social thing where getting critique and support and jam away with ideas are a central part of it. In Finland where I live, the culture have traditionally been that you stoically toil away with your “battery invention” in your lonesome basement, to then present your creation ready and humbly and, with a look at the ceiling, claim that.. Well you don’t really care but are just happy if someone would have any good use for it.. While the truth is that the prospect of a future admiration is a grand, if not the central part of it. It is truly comical and could deserve a film of it’s own.
I see it rather like an evening jam done instead of looking at that boring last-choice movie I could do without. At least partly driven by the fun of doing and showing and interacting around film. Crude and direct but fun. And about the learning of creating cinematic drama. And saying the truth of the heart in an affordable way. But that is just my opinion on why and how. I guess that there is many views and ways.

2nd Spin off series from ‘The Boys’. I hope they don’t ruin it by spamming us with loads more series that end up getting worse and worse.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) S6 E13
Twixtid -3 points 4 months ago*.

Was there something going on around the time that this was aired maybe that I had missed in the news? This seemed way out in left field for even Stark Trek with such a heavy emphasis on colored people and how they were generally treated in the 1950s, I was abit taken aback by it. This was aired 7 years after the Rodney King incident so I don’t really understand.

It is a “you” problem for not knowing how to read or understand my original post. Please do not foist your lack of understanding, illiteracy and predetermined phobias onto me. So slither back to your basement or you can keep pissing into the wind on this one, it is up to you. You are no longer worth my time.

Themoo -3 points 4 months ago.

This you? “ She was not the herald of Galactius when Galactus first came to earth. You can argue all you want about how different time lines and realities but the true reality is that she exists as The Silver Surfer as a gender swap. “

You’re whining about when he first came to Earth - again, entirely missing the point of a multiverse. It COMPLETLY escaped you. Now you’Re just trying to cover the shame of realizing that this film flat out told you it’s an entirely different universe…. and making yourself look ever more the fool with the bellyaching about YOUR comprehension woes.

It’s as dumb as whining about Miles Morales being a “race swapped” Spider-Man.

When you can figure out why that’s daft, then you’ll see what was wrong with your whinging.

Probably and most of the screen time is spent on Ackles and then there is Eric Dane’s health issue too.

This was horrible. I had to quit it after 15 minutes or so. I did not want to desecrate my feeling for this show.

And a certain type of “infestation” which is common these days, was the rotten cherry on top. To every fan which has a little self respect left, do not watch this.

Have to ask. WT-actual-F is up with the cameo from Jack O’connell as a Jimmy Saville lookalike at the end. Yeah really didn’t find this interesting or original in any way. Probably because the Zombie genre has been done to death badum tsshh so it’s hard to make anything original.

Feels a bit like you’re watching Rick from Rick + Morty just after he left university. Usually I really dislike any ‘low budget’ movies as they’re usually so awful. However this one is really good IMO. Definitely worth watching!

Yes, I know he is and if they wanted a 2nd season, they’d find a way to not kill him off. I just started watching The Killing and can’t believe 13 episodes in season 1 and the 2nd season started where season 1 left off. Still not sure who killed Rosie, and I think this is the 1st time I’ve ever known a series to not solve the crime in the 1st season. I actually skipped about 5 episodes and watched the last episode thinking it would be revealed who did the killing. Not so!

Definitely don’t miss this one, one of the best sci-fi action movies to come along in a good minute. Linda Hamilton looks great, acts great, love to see her. Movie comes off as slightly low budget at first but it doesn’t take long before this movies action draws you in and keeps you there till the end. Bravo.

Aww…thank you! I like people to know to stick it out with shows because in the past year or so, I’ve noticed that a lot of series take a few episodes to hit their stride. I always give every show 4 episodes to see how they go.

This may sound strange but this movie brought me peace. I miss my Mom so much. She passed away from cancer almost a year ago. When the doctor said some deaths are better than others, meaning some die with love surrounded with love. Well hearing that made me recall they were the last words I said to my Mom. Great trilogy. I very much enjoyed this movie.

maybe i am wrong, but wasnt the conclusion of 28 days later, that it wasnt a “zombi-invasion”,but a “flu/rabies virus” ,which infected the people and did let them rage beyond their physical limits, which did let them die of after one month???
and now we see miraculous after years and years mutated zombies chasing the living arround?
it all is absolutly unlogic and extended beyond any reason just to keep movies and movies coming.
would be nice to stick to logic(newly infected for example) and why should france be under control after the second movie, when they didnt get the infection in britain under control????
all in all, just an idiotic nr 3 extention of the original story

Yeah we should need to get creative and start making what we want our selfs. I have been thinking that this site could be perfect as a material source for cutting and stitching scenes in to new films and series.. Then using AI to make the final rendering, changing clothes, faces and voice only where and when needed. Then release them here. I mean, it’s all pirate any way. Many films are so technical good but then the central dialogue(wisdom dispersion) chickens out and become bland like dishwater just because the fucking big production company don’t want to step “normal” on the toes. We could make creative “upgrades”. At least the possibility is here.
Asta and Harry and Darcy could have sex and then the girls get babies. Harry could breast feed the babies from 8 titts that grows out on his forhead.. Just as an example :)

BluRain 7 points 4 months ago.

How to Train Your Dragon (2025)
WolgerrWolff 1 points 4 months ago.

This isn’t a bad movie. Maybe an unnecessary movie, but that never stopped Hollywood before.
It’s authentic to the original, the score is beautiful, and the CG is more than impressive. The changes are good; no one wants a Psycho (1998) type remake.
Imperfect, but a good watch. Some fans just need to let go of their nostalgia a bit, and give it a chance.

I waited a month for DVD quality and this is the film I got?

One of the stupidest zombie movies I’ve ever seen. The story is all over the place, if we can even call it a story.

The acting was okay but that’s its only saving grace. I wanted to stop half-way through but convinced myself that it had to get better, it didn’t.

I recommend skipping this one altogether.
