I am loving this series and the former Olympian premise behind it.
unfortunately this was my least favorite episode. It was very Western and over the top from start to finish. How many baseball bats to the head? Did they bring in a different director?
The opening was a bit displacing. I thought maybe I skipped an episode or the first few minutes was cut off. That lead to 20 min of me watching the end of the last episode and checking other files to see if i missed something. I wasn’t sure where in time we were once I returned to the show. A day in the future, months? etc. Other trhan that I love the show. 99.9% minus the confusion
Question for the peanut gallery… which would you prefer, another season oh this but in a style like Poker Face where he’s on an adventure and every episode is a new location with new cast? Or would you want him to do a season with another crew or situation? Curious what other people think if they could have their way.
I like what I have seen/heard so far about this upcoming series.
Unfortunately, it’s a made for SyFy Channel Production…and we all know what THAT means…it’s either going to be really BAD and we have been misled by the hype…or…it will actually be pretty good which will be it’s very own “Death Sentence” and will be canceled after the first season or two leaving us all annoyed, frustrated & pissed off that another good series has bit the dust. Which is typical of the SyFy Channel. It keeps the shitty shows going while canceling the ones that are worth caring about and watching
It seems you were right because it was gonna be cancelled after the third season,It was initially announced to be moving to USA Network, but it was later revealed that season 4 would premiere as a simulcast on both USA Network and Syfy, with episodes also available on Peacock.
Very intense and creative movie. I loved the whole concept and editing. Its very sobering and revealing image of male culture in the age of reddit, algorithms and social isolation. The monologues make this movie even more creepy than the visuals.
I watched this because Mads by the same director was a hell of a ride. This one is not… stay away if you don’t like slow movies- This takes ages to get to the point and in the end there is no pay off really. The story feels constructed and the emotional parts feel cringe actingwise. Has it moments, cinematography and effects are good but this barely reaches average.

Thanks. I downloaded Original Sin last night & will start watching it today. Then I will move on to the Dexter S1. I read up to S4 is amazing & it peaks there
The casting in Original Sin, is scarily too good. Pretty much every actor is the perfect pick and honestly do seem like the younger version of the actors in the original series.
I say “Black Rainbow” wasn’t release in 1991, it was release in 1989.
Liked it , but annoyed and blaming the writers as usual!
Upon getting outside and seeing that everything is covered in the nano bricks, first thing to do should be to head back inside to get the phone with the app. Ugh!
I was shocked at first to see Alexander Skaarsgard’s name on this, but hey, if he can be a vampire, I guess he can be anything. I’ll watch anything he’s in, but he is exceptional in this. I’m thinking award winning performance.
I agree AmieWarren. Good 1st episode and will continue watching. Crime dramas have come a long way since the days of the 1960’s Dragnet and Hawaii-5 0. 5 0 was a lot better than Dragnet that was for sure. Wonder if there is some AI witchery going on? I saw a still photo of him and he did look a bit younger.
I liked his weathered face. It showed all the crap he has gone through. Now he just looks like another Hollywood star trying to stay young. Still sexy, though.
I watched the original series when I was a kid. I never realized that it only ran for 1 season. It was one of my favorites, especially as it was on during the week, not on Saturday. Not sure about this in CGI.
That description is so wrong …..
A little girl, adored by her father but without a mother, finds and raises a young gorilla while living in Africa. Years later a group of men hunting animals to put on display for public viewing come across the giant gorilla and convince the girl to take Joe to New York. A series of wild misadventures happen that change the lives (and hearts) of a lot of people along the way.
This is one of my most favourite movies. The 1998 remake just didn’t do it justice.
this show is fucking great. instantly pulled me in and hasn’t let go. found it following melissa collazzo (maeve) from one of us is lying and im so pleased about this choice. one of those shows that makes you care about a niche subject bc of the passion the writing has for it. exciting and absorbing!
Does everyone know the crazy story of how the BBC created this doc, but then wouldn’t broadcast it because they couldn’t find an example to include of how Israel has suffered from having it’s doctors targetted (and, so, it was finally sold rather than harm their standing on impartiality)?
I already know a lot of it’s content, but as a footnote to Empire… kind’a funny.
I don’t recall beer pong being a thing in the 80’s. Other than that, decent watch.
29oC in Kalamata, Greece… nice viewing, a bit if a fast ending I thought… didn’t understand this fleshy exterior as he was being transferred to the acid bath, still, a good yarn…
Oh God, who would not enjoy the thick, fleshy, delicious olives of Kalamata? Mmm… He lacks his recreational parts (genitals) as he was not intended to function as a sexbot (which prevents lots of lousy, petty drama).
Have you seen the movie Eden Lake (2008) starring Kelly Reilly from Yellowstone? Warning…the ending will mess with your head, especially if you’re of the female persuasion. Not for the faint of heart.
Actually, I can’t cry. Damnit. lol loved that line.

Thank you so much for sharing. That was fascinting and one hell of a spoiler. LOL
This show has 5 heavy hitters in the top roles. The writing is great. Unfortunately it’s falling flat for me. The co-stars; Mbaho Mwine, Kinnear, and Porter are doing their jobs, staying in their lane - while the stars Smollett and Egerton are trying too hard. Their performances are over the top, even when they are in scenes separate from each other. It’s almost like they are copying bits and pieces from other performances that have been done before. I have liked everything Egerton has done so far but this isn’t doing it for me. I think another actor would have done a better job. insert any 30-40 year old from a Netflix thriller and I would dig it more. 4 episodes in and I’m still distracted by his horrible attempt at a Boston accent. Smollett is trying so hard to prove herself as a tough snarky cop that it’s coming off as a joke. Ditch the shades and I’m tougher than the guys vibe and it would work .
I can’t wait to see what happens when Leguizamo finally appears.
Would have loved to see a sequel to this. I even once saw an interview with Keanu where he said he was pushing to get one made only to get denied by Warner Bros.
Season 13 began in February but season 12 began in March? Does that make sense to anyone?
This show was a pleasant surprise. I’ve never been a Maggie Q fan ( don’t hate her just not impressed) until this show. I binged it in two sittings. I did not know going into it that it was a spin off to Bosch. WIthin the first half hour I was thinking “Man this reminds me of what I used to like about Bosch and the first season of The Wire” Only to find out it is part of the Bosch universe. For what it’s worth I liked this better than Bosch Legacy.
I think the best thing about this show is that it is not the typical formulaic procedural. Sure its a slow burn, but the slow burn is about all the details. there is a ton of LAPD history and information in the show if you pay attention. Overall the show is less sensational and more about the details of the way this LAPD beast operates. Things like finding out the rules of being a Reserve officer (vs Auxiliary), that LAPD uniform is called the “blue suit” (yes it’s really blue but navy looks blacker than black on tv) and the details and traditions with their funerals (Riderless horse with boots backwards in the saddle). They really hit this one out of the park.
As for Cameos, Titus look 10 years younger and healthier. Amy Hill was a great surprise and well needed after canceling her show.
Well this surprised me! It has definitely made it to my “Made Me Jump” playlist because it did make me jump, more than once. And I didn’t even think it was a horror film when I started watching it! 🙄 😂 🤣

Going to watch this going off your review, movies have been seriously stale lately so I am looking forward to a good nail biter.

I’d never watched Dexter before but the first episode seemed pretty good and it was easy to see where the story is. Is it worth going back to watch the Original Series or the Original Sin or New Blood episodes?
Yes, it is. I would start at the beginning with OS. It’s out of this world!

I kept thinking I’ve seen the guy who portrays Damon Drew in something. Jonathan Togo was in CSI: Miami and seemed to disappear for awhile after 2018, reappeared in 2024. I do like what I’ve seen thus far. Will continue to watch.
