I don’t think I disagree with any of the decisions this time. The only other thing I took away is how much certain queens annoyed the hell out of me the first time (looking at you Joella & Hermona). Probably be a few days before I watch the finale but I’ll chat with you when I do :)

I don’t follow anything outside of the show so I don’t know about any hate, She did a fantastic job & absolutely deserved the win. She looked amazing with the longer hair too. Had she brought some of this to her final challenge she would have made top 4. Not sure how much time elapses between the final regular episode & this but she used it to study those songs & it showed. Well done to her. This should solidify an invite to a future All Stars

Finale seemed a bit rushed, could have stretched this one out over two episodes, give a more proper ‘passing of the baton’ to Renee for the next spinoff. Very sad to see Welliver’s series to end, though I’m sure we’ll see him a few times in the spinoff. MaggieQ is a good actresss tho, will do fine in the new one, looking forward to it.
PS: fun fact, Titus Welliver’s daughter plays Sam, his dog walker.

Cleddau (2024)
AstroJeston 2 points 1 year ago.

The series “Cleddau” is all in Welsh, but according to WhatToWatch.com there will also be an English version of the show international audiences titled as “The One That Got Away”. Unfortunately there’s no mention of a release date for that version.

One of the stars of this show is Elen Rhys, who also plays the blonde female detective in “The Mallorca Files” series. This is the first show she has made speaking her native Welsh.

Hi. In case you didn’t find it elsewhere: As of today (20 April 25), at least one of the choices is in English. I don’t know whether I’m allowed to name the sources, so I’ll just note that it’s the 2nd choice.

However, the series is awful.

I wanted to like this — the cast contains many good actors — but the characters aren’t convincing, the dialogue is stilted and predictable, parts of the plot are predictable while others are implausible, and the ending is utterly absurd. I virtually never stop watching a series midway through, but I couldn’t make it pas three eps (I know about the plot bc I read online synopses of the final three eps).

Sadly, a complete waste of time.

Thats a bit stupid. Nothing is going to change the DNA of a man or a woman. To argue that it can is just dumb and a sign that fantasy rules thinking. Shoot a man up with hormones. Not going to change a thing. If his body is found 500 years from now his DNA will tell them it was man they found. Their fake boobs are never going to lactate. Pretty sure it’s a fact that men can become women and women can become men. Surgery is a very real thing as are hormones. I don’t have to believe what is happening when I can see it for myself. It’s not a question of, oh I don’t know, faith. Intellectual superiors? I’m not saying they aren’t smart, they defiantly know what they’re doing. But I have this dipshit problem I can’t seem to shake. It’s called thinking. Again I ask people like you, what the hell are you watching? Stick to FOX news. Hollywood content would just offend you. Damn near everything probably offends you. Making you poisonous to society in general. Intellectuaize that.

I was explaining text from the “documentary” as you put it to you, as I would a child. The liberal coded WASP college educated couple are outbred by “Clevon” who’s in to big trucks, beer, football and front yard fights. Did you need Mike Judge to literally stop the movie and do an interview staring in to the camera where he explained to you his position and the stereotypes he’s using? Be as intelligent as you claim.

Straight forward premise, it visually draws from the adaptation of PK Dick’s A Scanner Darkly, met with a wannabe rotoscope look & perhaps the stylishness of Sin City & some elements of Zatanna. It plays with out of date music as a video that will appeal to some & not to others. Watch for a grown up Bobby from King Of The Hill as a wishy washy whining singer fading for his defiance.

Next season on Gangs of London: No one dies…the few leads you saw shot will miraculously come back to life (for a second time, in Shaun’s case)…and you find out everyone is related to everyone else.
This is basically the most violent daytime soap opera ever, in terms of character writing. I half expect someone’s evil(er) twin to enter the mix. If it wasn’t for the beautiful camera work and great acting, I wouldn’t be coming back for more abuse. Rest assured, I’ll be back for future seasons.

This is definetly a new one: John Taffer NOT YELLING about cleanlyness, not yelling over negligence but THAT THEY ARE ROOKIES. Call someone stuck in their ways…
I´m amazed his style works for so long and so good that he can make a show & living off it.
He´s basically the Mr. Wulf of the bar business, eh? But I miss the class, the calm but strong leading.
Well, this is real life. Maybe in the real world people need to be yelled at to be shaken up, to get the head set straight, to get over problems to solutions.
But I´d love to have a follow up sometimes- like what became of the rescues after a year?
Do they still work? Did the sales slump after the novelty wore off and what happened then?
Sometimes a view back would be nice… But I´m not complaining: we get to watch all kind of stuff for free.
So: THANKS to all the ones that upload and keep us happy, to all the people that make this work.

pramwire -12 points 8 months ago.

What a classic strangely the tokenized politicized proof every fool craves.
Yet how clearly illogical with the barest of consideration.
Does the film not early on set the basic premise for us? That the more education typically higher college level education two people have attained the lower the associated likelihood of having large numbers of children.
The starting point and premise. Not in any way unique to politics. Young gen Zs have already begun to naturally cycle or trend back towards the right. Aka they now prefer team red over team blue. Yes cycles and back and forth are normal natural and to be expected.
Yet the premise remains as if political propaganda talking points are static. Like the something something degree level something has higher something all registered democrats are like smartest best number one good guys.
The only problem was selling vanity of intellect to numbers including those who aren’t secure and will naturally overcompensate while failing to practice even one precept of intelligence over its adversary and roommate emotion.
The film uses a white southern man or family in its primary example. Does this represent the only group in society that may have lower education rates and large families or numbers of children? Do they perhaps only align in such groups and ways as under one party umbrella perhaps then?

Still people want to point and say this proves that and this and the other and it all ties together to give assumed authority.

Except there is very little to politicize in some its all for pur parties pleasure and the other parties demise itself as a narrative or assumption might be the height of ignorance itself.

It also ignores many careful messages in the film clearly contrary to the overall ideas partisan voices attempt to conclude.

What it really highlights well is how quick the screaming idiot masses out of sheer ignorance and lack of understanding will get behind an announcer or public display or event portrayed multiple times. The lunacy and self assured certainty the mob and the fool have in overabundance.

Still these data sets or the study aren’t exactly modern. The concept or idea which was old even when it was implanted as a popculture movie idea here it was well over the hill. Perhaps in such rapidly changing societies and culture the rules or statistical truths and averages must also change evolve and progress over time.
Also a theme shown in the film. That they learn with guidance to correct reason and understand their mistakes. While the best or most successful among them tends to simple be the most representative of the status quo.
In reality there is no valid basis for any premise of this represents a side or worse yet validates individual intelligence or voting choice because each and every such voice has missed the point entirely to a fairly simple think piece that shouldn’t take more than average intelligence to grasp.
After all one can teach a chicken to play tik tak toe. What is education weighed against intelligence most importantly put into action and practice.

The idiocracy is real and being reenacted in the chat.

The classically and widely known site bias will doubtlessly remove the voice of clear reason as soon as they are made aware of its problematic existence by the biased mob majority that allows one sided nonsense to proliferate just as the stupidity or genetic descent of herd mean avg intelligence drops in this movie.

Which is kind of beautiful as an overall concept itself isn’t it.

Perhaps next rename we could consider “letmebotchthis”.

This is just a movie. Entertainment. That is all. For those looking to find something into this, think about this, it was made in 2007. Do you honestly think they were looking to be prophets? They were looking to make money. None of the people who worked on this film were trying to be anything else other than actors, film makers, painters, scene makers, all that jazz. Grow up, live your lives, and stop trying to find something in nothing. If you could make gold outta the rocks in your backyard, you would, but you can’t. Lord of the Flies banned
13-year-old Anne Frank wrote a diary too sexually explicit
the Culpeper County School District banned the definitive edition after a parent complained about its “passages detail her emerging sexual desires,” according to the Washington Post. However, the district soon reversed this decision, allowing the definitive version to stay in the library, while having classes read an older edition without the passages. Ridiculous, but still better than the time members of the Alabama State Textbook Committee wanted to ban Diary of a Young Girl because it was, in their opinion, “a real downer.” from mental floss
