highly suggest this! if you like movies like “the International” starring CLive OWen, you’ll love this. incredible cast, if your a fan of Hugh Bonneville, you’ll love this, incredible writing and very well executed and superb topics and serious issues addressed. this is a fine UK drama/miniseries, do enjoy and can’t wait to rewatch it.

You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly what I was trying to figure out! Thank you. I have the same feeling about the season 2 of High Potential. It is a kind of quirky drama, but it has begun to get on my nerves. The Brits 99% of the time have some great crime dramas and the crime dramas here in the US suck. But Slow Horses should be called Sloppy Horses….

Love love love Fantasmas. One of the best I’ve seen ever and one you can and want to rewatch.
Its really clever, funny, beautiful and quirky. There are layers of fun and smart perspectives all the time and it is quick, which is why its fun to watch again becasue you see and catch new things.

Maybe a trekkie out there can shed some light on why in previous series, Voyager and DS9, the Ferengi were for the most part, very well educated and versed in commerce. In this series the completely feral, primitive space pirates lol, is there a reason I find out later why these particular Ferengi are like this or did their writing just change over the years? Or was this gross misinterpretation of the species?

I’m not really impressed with this season’s cast, so losing Jake, someone I liked, will hit hard for the rest of the season with a ton of “What if…”
EDIT: When I said, “gave up being around when his son was going to be born,” I hope that did not come off bad. He had his wife’s blessing to fight for his family’s future. We can all respect that, I hope.

While Hank, Matthew, and Myra are the MVP’s in this episode, Dr. Mike actually has a legitimate reason to be mad at Dorothy for writing in her book what she told her in confidence. Can’t remember the specific episode just that it was season two, before confessing to Dorothy her fears of never being sexual with a man, she asked Dorothy with slight jest if she’ll read what she says to her in tomorrow’s gazette. Dorothy then went in telling Dr. Mike how she was read in her “reporter 101” book something called “off the record” and to show her understanding of it explained that what Dr. Mike told her was between them. She broke her promise to keep it between them. I don’t understand how Dorothy can pair up Dr. Mike not telling anyone about her breast cancer to her not mentioning to Dr. Mike she was writing a book when the real problem was you broke your word to keep her confidence in you OFF THE RECORD. This is why I keep quiet on what I deem is sensitive. Only I can betray myself if it got out.

Play Dirty (2025)
Great film. Wahlberg movies are always consistently entertaining. Some of the worst Hollywood tropes are thrown out of the window with this production which was refreshing. Leaned a little too much into comedy at some points. The movie should have been a serious film.
A few tweaks to the script and some casting changes would have been preferable.

Wow, if there was ever a tribe destined to lose, it’s this one. That was pretty intense, not only do they lose challenges, they lost their best player due to a snake bite. Sea kraits are highly venomous, the fact Jake was 45 minutes away from the base camp is worrisome. If it wasn’t a “dry bite” Jake most likely would have been in critical condition. Then again, maybe they had anti-venom with the first-responders and didn’t feel the need to administer it, I don’t know. Still, for a guy that gave up being around when his son was going to be born, this must have crushed him. I honestly think he had a good chance at winning. I hope they bring him back in another season.

So glad you commented! I remember Jonny Quest from my childhood. An image of the walking eyeball thing just came to mind. I believe the only line I recall was when a cook was running toward a creature? with a meat cleaver while yelling “Hussan chop!” I’ll have to watch and see how my memory of them has held up…
