They nailed the “futuristic 50’s” original comic style. Entertaining, though slightly boring for a modern audience used to more action.

What a great first episode! I loved the long shot of them first finding the plane. If it brings this energy to the rest of the series it’s going to be a great show.

It's a Wonderful Life (1947)
Paulzpc 0 points 2 months ago.

The end of this movie always makes me tear up, if you are new to this movie, you have to add it to your Christmas list of movies to watch, Jimmy Stewart’s performance is AMAZING, the prayer in the bar was a real life prayer, with real tears of emotional pain. After returning from his service as a decorated bomber pilot in World War II, Stewart suffered from what is now known as PTSD. The emotional toll of combat made his return to acting extremely difficult, and he considered quitting altogether. This movie was his comeback roll, in his mind, the very end of this movie will tell you how lucky we all were to have him continue his acting career. Jimmy Stewart went on to make 36 more movies after It’s a Wonderful Life. Jimmy Stewart’s last film was the 1991 animated movie An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, in which he voiced the character Wylie Burp. He retired from acting after this role, which was his final performance. On July 2, 1997 at the age of 89 years, Beverly Hills, CA, Jimmy Stuart peacefully passed, away, a movie legion icon.

I’ve never watched the Uncloaked for any series but I did stumble across a few Instagram posts for this which seemed odd to me.

Idk, I’ve watched every English speaking version and this felt the most watered down. I’m sad the Australian version already canceled at it had the best (imo) host.

If you like this type of show try: The Inheritance, Fortune Hotel & The Snake

dampyiel2200 1 points 2 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Just finished the inheritance. It was really good. The ending really surprised me. I can’t believe that guy split it even 3 out of 4 of those people would have given him nothing. Not saying he was wrong just surprised me.

This might scare me if I was a kid. I hate stories where the characters have to make dumb decisions to make the plot work. As I watched more kept accumulating. Also, the writers did not take time to develop the story or the characters. The whole thing seemed hurried and horribly edited. I have not read Stephen Kings book so I dont know how much was changed for this movie. But, since he is a popular author I can`t believe this is a reflection of his book.

Kancunstatus35 1 points 2 months ago.

It was based off of King’s short story of the same name. He never wrote a book for this. Even if he had, there are writers and others that like to change things from his books and King doesn’t always have the power to not let it happen. This happened in so many of the movies based on his books including The Shining with Nicholson, Dreamcatcher, etc. He can’t do it all the time but King did remake that The Shining in 1997 that was more faithful to the book than Stanley Kubrick’s version was, for example.

Very interesting movie about a guy that is responsible for very much shit that we have experienced in our culture and that we still experience. Trumps great mentor, a Jewish Gay man. One could guess that it is from the 80ies gay bar dance floors Mr. Trump have picked up his particular two handed dance style. More about their close relationship in the movie “The apprentice” https://www.primewire.tf/movie/1509022-the-apprentice

Zman 3 points 2 months ago.

He was truly a vile POS. His other protege (his description) was Jeffery Epstein. He was mobbed up and was liaison between the kosher and cosa nostra’s and represented both in court. Nancy Reagan credited him with being the one single person most responsible for Ronnies election. If you can get videos of him and watch and listen, you’ll see where Trump got his tactics. Deny, deny, deny, never defend, attack, attack, attack and his best, projection. His most famous (and telling ) quote was “don’t tell me what the law is, just tell me who the judge is”. If that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what would. Then there is his association with Mossad, Lansky and Israel. Trump ran with him since the 70s and dumped him after it was known he had AIDS. Trump refused to take his calls and Cohn died alone and without friends…and people think they know who Trump is.

I got Cartoon Network later than most, so my first intro was to the 1996 version, which I felt was quite awesome.

I never watched either the 80s or 90s versions. I just went and looked at the episodes and checked out the voices. Good god, Frank Welker, (Transformers), Robert Patrick (Terminator)…and John De Lancie? (‘Q’ from STTNG) That 90s version Jonny looks like Owen Wilson, lol. I’ll watch both(80s,90s).They’ll be my ‘new’ sat morn shows.

So glad you commented! I remember Jonny Quest from my childhood. An image of the walking eyeball thing just came to mind. I believe the only line I recall was when a cook was running toward a creature? with a meat cleaver while yelling “Hussan chop!” I’ll have to watch and see how my memory of them has held up…

Zman 7 points 2 months ago.

I absolutely remember that episode! Now you’ve gone and done it…I’ll have to add this to my collection. Also one about a Yeti? Just looking at the list of episodes brings almost every one back to memory. Geez, could this therapy?

Think now if American movies and budgets could invest in such madly hungry and subversive lower class dramas for a change.. It would leave GOT in the dust.

Wow, if there was ever a tribe destined to lose, it’s this one. That was pretty intense, not only do they lose challenges, they lost their best player due to a snake bite. Sea kraits are highly venomous, the fact Jake was 45 minutes away from the base camp is worrisome. If it wasn’t a “dry bite” Jake most likely would have been in critical condition. Then again, maybe they had anti-venom with the first-responders and didn’t feel the need to administer it, I don’t know. Still, for a guy that gave up being around when his son was going to be born, this must have crushed him. I honestly think he had a good chance at winning. I hope they bring him back in another season.
