From what I understood from an article in TheDirect, Blomkamp was writing on the screenplay for District 10 together with Sharlto Copley and Terri Tatchell beginning 2021, but also that he, Blomkamp, in August 2023 said that he did not have much hope for it coming to fruition because it would be tied to Sony the same way as Gran Turismo was. He admitted he was not sure if he “even [wanted] to make that” at the time but teased that it might get made regardless of his involvement:

“Yeah, they would be tied to it. I don’t know if it’s getting made or not. I don’t know if I even want to make that right now, but at some point down the line, it’ll probably get made.”

I also read an reddit about it from 2023, where the latest post was made some 4 months ago, that don’t mention any better news.
So it sounds like.. down the line.. Maybe.. But hopefully things have moved along and you have some fresher and better news. It would be nice with some sources.

a terrible and ultimately very laaaaaaaaaame movie. marketed very well, and indeed a cast of great actors but a bad script is a bad script, lame effects are lame effects, and ultimately the big scares aren’t that scary this is a lame b-movie and b for baaaaaaaaaaad movie! don’t even enter at your own risk just skip this one.

I always go back and watch this one around Halloween - classic Stephen King!
