Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016)
ackman83 4 points 3 months ago.

it has some good action but it’s hard to get into people flying like feathers

Geogenesis 0 points 3 months ago.

The story was originally written in 1940-ish. Martial Artists were their superheroes and it’s natural that their abilities get embellished when telling stories. The first novel from the series was written before Superman even existed in 1938 and remember even Superman didn’t fly at the time, only leap really high. It makes sense in that context. Personally, I have no issue with it because I have loved kung fu movies since the 80s where it’s absolutely normal to see.

Ok, for a one time watch. It’s just a no brain dumb action movie. The first one at least had some plot to it. This is just a Micheal Bay movie but “made for tv” version. Barely 5/10

Well what an annoying woman. When I saw him pulling out the belt, I though.. Well now at last someone else than the monkey gonna get some good spanking. 🤬👺💥 But no..
I’m happy that he got going.. anyway. With time it will become a bit strange, but character building memory to laugh about. He was grown up and.. well.. Hmm..
An other film with the same theme but a bit different take is the french Murmur of the heart. It is more positive and forgiving, European if you will..

snazzydetritus 8 points 3 months ago.

MOTH is more sentimental and dare I say it “warm”, as much as it can be for a movie about incest. But this one is more of a dark comedy.

Star Trek: Voyager (1995) S5 E16
Twixtid 8 points 3 months ago.

This two part episode is easily my favorite so far, not taking away from the many amazing episodes previously seen. I’m completely invested in Seven’s arc, it’s tragic, heart breaking, engaging, she plays her role amazingly well, her talents are seen in full swing in an episode where she suffers from the “Borg equivalent of split personality disorder” -Doc. Hope to see alot more about the Borg in the coming seasons. I said this before, but once I am finished with Voyager I am going to check in on any other series that have major story arcs surrounding the Borg.

Plot says….Applying lotion to his her(his Mom) legs arouses him 😯😮 wtf??? Wow!! Incest. I watched this years ago on Cinemax lol.

1 of the great movie series, you can argue the sequel is just as good as the OG, if not better. I’m definitely down for a part 3 and 4!!!

“Set in the 1970s, this ensemble comedy follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family, the Clearys, as they navigate big and small changes during one of America’s most turbulent decades.”

The 70’s were not that turbulent.

Just like in the first movie, no Russian second generation would have taken over a bus for no reason, which would have been filled with cameras in 2021. No officer with a bodycam would have smacked a girl for no reason. At least the Die hard copycats like Taken only had him scrapbooking in an age of internet, This plot could have been bought from the dollartree. I love Bob, and he deserves to be paid, but this lack of effort is next level.

My guess is way to much….some countries still go nuts over some plant. Saw another one in high school (no pun :D) that still haunts me 25 years later. Don’t know if I just saw it way too young but it’s a similar story that’s gonna make you ask…Why?

I love Bob, but this is a complete 180 from his character, they could have put like ANY amount of thought into the plot, instead of just: Russians. At least John Wick was fictional, not that it helps.

I didn’t really like this too much, but once you start, you can’t quit it. The ending was unexpected. I really would have liked to see what happened next, but it seems a lot of European shows end this way now.

Another flawless episode in this very well made Sci Fi series. Very much enjoying Day’s journey through the seasons. Having only seen Lee Pace plat small parts as Ronan (Marvel Films) and Thranduil The Hobbit Trilogy. It’s a pleasure to see the talent this actor really has. The season is a great pace with lots going on. With only a few episodes left I look forward to see what cliff they leave us hanging from into season 4.

There are 2 of The Monster of Florence listed and one has Antonio Banderas as a reporter. One has a release date of October 22nd, and the other one has no release date. Both sounds very intriguing and based on a true even.
