That is not at all what I was expecting this movie to be. I thought I was gonna watch some sort of Swiss Family Robinson type movie. Still was a good movie but would of enjoyed it more if I was in a different mind set to start off. Crazy to think the unspeakable things that happen on a little island when people get desperate. 6.8/10 like I said wasn’t really in the mood for such a movie, would probably be higher if I was.

It’s good enough as far as a medieval “saga” goes but the artistic license given to this show is way over the top. I don’t really understand why. The real story is just chock-a-block with epic treachery, deceit, betrayal, mayhem, death, destruction and sex - and it all actually happened ! Why invent anything? This seriously could have been so excellent - it’s a very good medieval drama but, like my high school teacher would keep telling me ,”…(it’s) just not living up to (it’s) potential”…

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) S3 E6
Ya know, Gene Roddenberry had vision BUT he also came from a different generation, one that valued morals, integrity, individual conviction, social consciousness, community structure, and a strong sense of social justice. The writers today DO NOT have those qualities. They are of the newer generations, the self-serving generations, the generations that have made society what it is today. All they care about is creating a TV series with the best cgi to WOW viewers. I, for one, learned a lot from Gene Roddenberry’s original TV Star Trek series growing up. The show had integrity and that was important. Without Gene to lead the way this series has lost its way. Despite having a great cast this series has no integrity, no morals, no conviction, etc. The episodes are weak and sometimes ridiculously stupid. I find myself preferring to watch reruns of old Star Trek shows to get the Gene Roddenberry ‘feeling’ … to appreciate his vision and let my imagination merge with his.

I try to avoid being stuck in the past. It wasn’t as great as people “remember” it to be. Remember this — Star Trek OG had the first black woman in a major roll on tv and the first inter-racial kiss on television, so maybe this man you worship was more progressive than you “remember.” Back then, people thought it was “moral” to lynch black people, beat their wives and children while police made light of DV calls (they used to wait 30 minutes to give it time to “simmer down” so they didn’t get hurt), and not let even popular black performers use the restrooms in the places they performed or stay in hotels in those cities. Women had three options for employment: housewife, teacher or nurse, but not university professor or doctor. Is that what you call “morals and integrity,” because it doesn’t fit my definition of those things. As for community structure, yeah, as long as there were no black people in your community. There was absolutely no social justice, especially in the south where I grew up. So you stay in that time and I’ll stay here, o.k.? I’ll stay in my online community and you stay in yours. Buh-bye!

I was looking forward to this for a binge and although there were some great performances (to be expected) I felt the writing let it down it felt at times too simplistic to what was going on, don’t get me wrong I quite enjoyed it as a whole and the cinematography deserves a mention, for me 7/10

Totally agree, and has nothing to do with violence or killing, because it is a TV schow for entertainment. It was the first thing I noticed and it is indeed never stopping and totally unnecessary.

This season is actually pretty good. The few episodes I watched from the last two seasons seemed fake and unfunny. That punishment went totally the opposite of how I thought it would. Must of been half priced drinks day or something.
Side note, Yeti is a over priced garbage company. Artic is the EXACT same product but cheaper in price. Interesting story. The two founders that made the product had a huge disagreement when it was ready for sales. One wanted to sell it at a fair price and the other wanted to over charge it and market it as “high end”. Basically to target rich shmucks that buy shit to show off not for quality. So they went there separate ways but both owning the same patent. The fair priced guy named his products Artic. While the over charging douche bag named his Yeti.

just got around to watching this today absolutely fucking fantastic!!!! love over the top action films like this :) they been making a great comeback i feel like in recent years with john wick, a working man, beekeeper and now sisu they just keep getting better…also any other good high octane actions like the ones i mentioned please let me know!
I don’t know, I could have done with a lot less shit & urine. I wish it had been a bit longer so that the other characters had a bit more time to wrap up their stories. Way too much Miranda time but perhaps they are leaving themselves open in hopes of doing a wedding movie (again). Also still annoyed that they keep pushing Aiden as the one who got away even after Carrie dumps him. Guess I’ll have to go back to just “hate watching” my reality shows…
I have to say of all the “and just like that” this was by far the worst. I just didn’t care at all about any of the storylines except maybe Carrie’s Real estate agent friend, but overall this was a painful three days and several hours to get through. they should’ve never done this series sequel and killed off Bigg and what not. and Aiden and Carrie ending, wtf was all that about? and pfff I don’t get carrie’s problem. anywho thank god that’s over
