the slow pan and rumination of scene really remind me of some of what i suppose hawley did, particularly thinking of the end of legion, but he didnt direct this ep, i wonder if he did play a part.

also wasnt there some controversy with hawley, maybe to do with the conflict in the levant? couldn’t find anything online, im sure i read something somewhere.. i remember because i was so shocked… that damned mandala syndrome again..

i Wrote to steven spielberg about putting the colossal man on this island, he stands thirty to forty feet high but someone wrote back saying they thought it was a great idea but I wasn’t sure if was steven Spielberg .The colossal man looked more like a monster then a man after following off hoover dam in the cine in war of the colossal man.You have to watch the first two movies of the colossal man to understand where I’m coming from but i had some great ideas to add to it.

As some of you know, I like WWII movies and tv series. I just happened to glance up and I thought to myself, “Is that Robert Mitchum?” I googled him and took a look at the movies he was in and this 1943 movie is not on the list but he is on the cast list when I googled the cast. He was in 4 movies in 1943 but not yet a leading man. This might have been his first movie. I’ll have to pay close attention and see if he appears again and has some lines to say. Just as I thought he was an extra with no lines. Poor Robert, one tiny little scene and then boom!

It has it’s flaws but it’s still better than most other entries in the Aliien franchise IMO.
Aesthetically it’s bang on. Also, it’s a TV series and so cannot attempt to match the movies. I have hopes it will improve. The showrunner on this also made the excellent Legion TV series.

To be released this fall is all I could find.

The older movies did not have the best cgi/fx but they had great stories. I’d take a good story over special effects for great entertainment any time.
