A couple of things…2-4-D is one of two components of Agent Orange and it’s in well over a thousand different herbicides. The other component, 2,4,5-T, is the highly toxic and carcinogenic one. 2-4-D is used in the non-glyphosate version of Roundup, but 2,4,5-T is not in any version. It was banned in the US in 1970 for use on food crops, banned altogether in the US and Canada in 1985, and banned internationally in 2004.

(I got two friends that are obsessed w/ plants and they both do this trick wherever we walk anywhere outside, they can just pick all these different plants “weeds” from random spots/yards/parks from whatever route we are taking and come home and make teas, used to treat etc, eat, keep bugs out just tons of endless uses all these “weeds” have. That blew my mind and made me never see plants in our rigid human categories/boxes. Life is much more complicated and reciprocity with all these things that give to us is the only way to be as a human being. Not even on some hippie level we’re connected but scientifically/literally. Sagan has a great quote about that. )

We need to use what we buy as our way of not supporting the system anymore and not letting these gigantic death systems poison and screw up our planet for their profit. It sounds hard but imagine if you got just a portion of the nation or state city to boycott buying anything for one day, even a few hours it would be massive profit drop so fast. We empower all these systems by saying what can I do, and not doing anything. But the way we all connected online now it would be easier than ever to get movements and changes going, just need to get motivated for the right morals and not sides,or political parties, but as all humans living and trying to just care for our loved ones eat and be safe somewhere at night. So many more things we share than make us different, but our TV would use the Us against them old scheme to scare us all into fighting each other when that is BS. Humans I fear WILL have to face extinction before they realize we are all one species all trying to survive w/ dignity and love/be loved.
We don’t need any THINGS to be worthy of love either, the people I love would be the same without any clothes jewelry vehicles etc.
& I treat everyone on the street the same w/ respect if it’s a suit n tie or homeless guy, I know they all struggle & strive inside so the least we can do is always try.
My point is dehumanizing has to go before we can move forward to prosper & grow. And I’m tired of watching such a talented amazingly inventive capable creative species be reduced to cogs in the machine. If we were allowed to invent and create and utilize all our intelligence these issues would be solved practically overnight, but the rulers will do anything to stop that. But ya,that sh*t made me sick to my stomach when I learned about all that. I thought what about all the agriculture!? Grew up around bunch of it in the bay area CA and even if I didn’t just our food in general!? Knew this old Nam vet that was one of my best buddies, and seeing all the cancer that just took over everywhere in his body (was sprayed w/ Agent Orange numerous times) made it that much realer & terrifying! He was strongest solid old Apache dude and just was snuffed out all of a sudden after body couldn’t take it anymore. He never made a peep all those years we had no idea the massive pain he was going through! (And the VA ignored any request to check for cancer, said it was diabetes for decades until stroke then finally after family fought staff to check boom it was already everywhere and gave 2 months to live 4 months later just gone like that)
That’s what we get for mass destroying something that is our healer nourisher & sources of life 🌿 I guess lawns & no native plants (weeds) is worth the mass cancer!

It was Manufactured by Monsanto, and was used extensively in Vietnam during the latter half of the 60’s. Agent Orange was an extremely potent (and highly toxic) defoliant. What Monsanto would eventually do, would be to change it’s chemical composition before re-releasing it for public & commercial use under the name “Roundup”. Bayer Corp now owns the company, and is still producing and selling this product. In ‘78 and ‘79 (when I was using it), no one was yet aware of what the long term side affects were until a decade or so later. And, at that time, I certainly didn’t know either…
