Wait… not usually into movies?

AmieWarren 1 points 7 months ago.

No, I mostly watch TV series. I’ve never been a big movie fan. I have ADHD and I usually forget a movie soon after I watch it. People who know all the characters and all their lines and who played who — that’s the opposite of me. I watch things for the story, and I usually can’t even name one of the actors, unless it’s one I’ve been watching most of my life, like Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt. I can’t even name most of the popular actors in Hollywood today, even if you show me a picture.

The Rookie (2018) S7 E18
moongoddess 1 points 7 months ago.

I did not see that ending coming. Though it is a welcomed surprise, albeit a fast tracked story line for season 7. Garza that was a twisted mouthful of an explanation. Season 8, Bring it on.

My first time ever watching this movie. I’m not usually into movies, but this one really grabbed me. It was shot in my home state of SC. My mother was raised on the coast of SC, and been to every one of those plantation houses, and many more.

This movie really took me back to my younger days when we would climb ancient oaks and swim in the creek in front o my grandmother’s house. Good times. I miss them.

I was just thinking about Elementary. I loved it, but it had much quirkier characters with much more personality. I loved the way Jonny Lee Miller played Sherlock. I still can’t imagine him ever married to Angelina, though. Eck!

expresso 1 points 7 months ago.

I just got done with an entire rewatch of Elementary this weekend :) Love that show, love the characters, love the contemporary update - best version of Sherlock Holmes IMO. And Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu had the best non-romantic romantic charisma in television history.

Demon Wind (1990)

I adore this movie! In fact, I have a VHS copy with the original artwork that I had bought secondhand. It’s so incredibly cheesy, and at times downright preachy, but it’s also a lot of fun.

I agree, but is Sherlock really dead? Moriarty took secrets with him and one last thing for Watson to anguish over. I did read an article about season 2 and hinted….is Sherlock really dead? I’ll watch the 1st two episodes of S2 and see what happens. After watching Grey’s for 20 years, I’m about to hang it up on it. I like The Pitt though.

AmieWarren 1 points 7 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I’ve done that with a few shows that were boring at first. Seems that’s the way shows are these days. I try to always give one until Ep. 4 before I give up on it. We must have read the same article. Mine said Ingrid will be back, but one of the twins will leave. I have a feeling Watson will bring Ingrid back for some reason and Stephens will leave because he said he could never work with her again.

Watson (2025)
AmieWarren 2 points 7 months ago.

OK, now Moriarty’s dead, there is no Sherlock story to continue. We don’t need another medical show, and as just a medical show, this one is boring. Seems there will be a Season 2, but without Ingrid and Moriarty, I can’t think of a single reason to watch it. We’ll see.

Piglet 1 points 7 months ago.

It’s a show that builds to a crescendo, and what a crescendo it is! I’m praying nightly that they show both of the last two episodes on one night. I could not stand the suspense if they didn’t.

It’s either going to be that she stays true to form, or she’ll “do a Negan”, and become one of the good ones.

I love Morris Chestnut, he never seems to age and is gorgeous too! I would like to see him in more different roles, I wish they had continued with Rosewood, if they had named him something different as a doctor studying rare diseases it would’ve worked for me, but they didn’t, writers and idea men have become lazy, Doctor John Hamish Watson was born in 1852 in Scotland, stop messing with the classics and come up with something new! I will leave it there.

I’m nervous about Aunt Lydia, though. Will she keep quiet, or will she ruin everything? I have mixed feelings about her: hate her because of what she helped make “her girls” do, yet there are times I like her. Ann Dowd is one hell of an actress!
