Daisy May Cooper is hilarious! I fell in love with her and her crazy family from “This Country” back in 2017. Her real-life brother Charlie plays her cousin in the series as does her real-life dad, who plays her dead-beat dad. All three wrote This Country and the UK fell in love with their insane humour.
Daisy is an absolute hoot in “The Witchfinder” too!

My understanding after checking out some online materials: The Dutch wanted to keep the Western New Guinea (Papua) under their control, Indonesia being the nearest powerful neighbor of Papua wanted to integrate them (like India did with Kashmir and some other small kingdoms right after their independence from the British). USA supported Indonesia to keep them from becoming Soviet allies. Would’ve happened the same way even if Indonesia was a Christian or any other religion-majority. This is not about Islam. It’s about a colonial power (the Dutch) losing out to another nation (Indonesia) due to the 2nd nation’s importance to a superpower (USA) during the cold war. You should blame the Dutch and USA for screwing the Papua people for their own selfish agenda.
Very schlocky, yet fun since it has Norman Fell (Mr. Roper Three’s Company), Robert Forster (Jackie Brown, The Black Hole, etc.) and John Vernon from Animal House, Delta House, Angela with Sophia Loren, also Roddenberry’s hard to find Questor Tapes with Mike Farrell from MASH. Besides, he did voice work for Batman, Iron Man & other superhero toons & is Kate Vernon from Battlestar Galactica’s dad.

Not a fan of remakes, but if ever one was needed, this would do. Saw it in the theatre as a kid with my brother, it scared us then, but it was still a box office miss. Didn’t do well since Disney didn’t know what tone to give it, so it was ruined with a dose of Disney kid stuff. Serious sci-fi wasn’t a thing for them at that time. Having Slim Pickens & Roddy do voice work for kiddie type characters didn’t help, in spite of how great both actors are.
So far there have been 5 attempts to redo it, but no dice.
yes, 1930’s propaganda at it’s finest. Our generation just had eggs in a frying pan for brains lol
Hilarious call back. Brings to mind the Bill Hicks bit where he deconstructs the notion of that propaganda in his signature stage piece.

True that. Like this flick… ha… it is one long unintentional joke that doesn’t land.

Heck yeah, it’s a great Tarantino film. It helped out Pam Grier & Robert Forster when they needed it, & they credit Quentin for that.
Sure they didn’t mislabel the meth feind? As no one acts like that on coke. It’s not addictive.
Yes but I love a dry sense of humor, without it the world would be a bore

12th September 2025 release date. Mark Hamill is playing the The Major, who is a main antagonist here and a supporting antagonist in the Stephen King multi-verse. The dystopian horror novel (384 pages) this movie is adapted from was written under SK’s pseudonym Richard Bachman in 1979. I’m looking forward to this and really hoping it’s true to form.
No shit?! Cool!
I watched the trailer and didn’t recognize Hamill with his sunglasses. Nor did I read the credits here before I saw it. I usually see an interesting new trailer and then look here for the movie.
..And we want it to make sense.. my own sense of humor is fairly dry & often doesn’t land…

Okay yes me too. It makes more sense.

‘Expelliarmus!’ - ‘Cup!’. I’ve not laughed that hard in ages xD
thanks for pointing this movie out. I’ll put it on my watch list. I love J.R. ever since his first big break in the movie The Accused with Jodie Foster and Kelly McGillis
(Trampoline) “bouncing back,” metaphor at 3:53 is Yoann Bourgeois, search for him on YouTube. Look for the video on a white staircase high over what looks like Paris.
Always liked this one. It’s just fun. Renner & Arterton do action well, then Viitala & Janssen do great also. It’s also got a nice score that brings it to life.

yes - the 47 minute format is not enough to tell the stories - also, the old doctor format had the climax of the story after each episode - which was always something to watch and it made you look forward to the next week..There are some things i really miss about the classic series.
Good episode. Like how they figured it out, but they could have at least let him change out of his pajamas. Oh, Marcello….
Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni for $400,000,000 alleging sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior on the set of this movie. The trial is set for 9 March 2026. Lively also claims Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer, mounted a plan to damage her reputation, and Baldoni has counter-sued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds for attempting to “destroy” his career. It truly does end with them.

You’re safe on your limb. It is the Stephen King story. But they can’t walk slower than 3 mph.
Here’s the new trailer:
I heard they were finally making a movie of this short story from the Bachman book series. I can’t wait to see it they do it justice or muck it up
I’m going out on a limb here and think this is the movie from Stephen King’s The Long Walk book. Here is the cast and what the movie/book is about. The cast: Sarah Levy, Rohan Campbell, Elijah Wood, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery, Theo James. It takes place in a dystopian future featuring a horrendous game. Made up of 100 teenage boys that are chosen at random from a list of applicants, The Long Walk sees them trek along U.S. Route 1 with no rest, and the threat of death should they fall below a speed of 4 mph more than three times. In that case, theyre shot dead on site, which is how each contestant is eliminated until there remains one solitary walker, who gets a cash award and a prize of whatever he wants for the rest of his life. By that time, however, the lone survivor is so damaged both physically and mentally that it makes living a nigh impossible task, which speaks to the storys theme of war, and the irreparable harm it causes to those who come back from witnessing such atrocities.

I tried… There is just no way to recreate the magic that made Suits what it was. They try to use the vocal inflection and banter Gabriel Macht had as Harvey, but it just doesn’t do it for me
Yeah. I don’t even wanna try to watch it. I know it will just make me disappointed lol
Okay, not what I expected……it’s being described as a detective drama that’s inspired by shows like True Detective and Slow Horses. Slow Horses is a British drama, and True Detective is a rather different crime drama, so who knows what we shall expect from this series when it is finally released. Another actor has been signed, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner. Fillion said the character is not a nice person and can we really see Fillion as a bad guy? And Kelly MacDonald as Sheriff Kerry (she has been in a lot of British/Irish tv series) and Garret Dillahunt as William Macon. A lot of good actors so only time will tell if this new series is worth watching.
I can’t remember if I finished watching this series or not. Need to revisit this drama.
The teaser trailer for this film is now out and it looks to be a pretty funny film.

“In 2021, The United States State Department estimated that there are about 10,000 Muslims in Papua New Guinea”, which is 0.08% of the entire population. How are they taking over for last 60 years? care to explain?

Woooop! What a ride! FD movies are always fun, I’ve loved this franchise from dot. Enjoyed this surprise after a decade and a half! RIP Tony Todd.
I stopped watch this sometimes really silly series. Veness Morgan’s character really gets on my nerves.
where are the marches and flag wavers for the indegenous papua new guineaneans who have been fighting an islamic takeover with bows and arrows for nearly 60 years?. Trust me its what islam does

“its not like your heart breaking, it just disappears”
Man this was an explosive episode so to say the least it took almost 80 episodes but the story arc is in full swing and I am hooked, I had wondered how long they were gonna drag out the “problem of the week” format, but the build up to the current arc was done masterfully, specifically the history between Londo and G’kar.

Damn! that was some ending to the S2 finale.
Love Tracker.
Best episode of the season for sure, after a couple of pretty bad ones. It’s lucky they’ve greenlit a third season because the speed of Colter’s personal story thus far is incredibly slow so they’ll need it to move the story forward ugh
