Are you actually able to read? What am I ‘hemming and hawing’ about? I’ve not supported either side, I’ve not tried to justify either side, as you appear to be doing so. I’ve just said that Hamas should of expected Israel to retaliate in some way when they were planning their initial attack. I don’t understand why you refuse, or can’t work out how. to acknowledge that basic concept.
A couple walking down the road holding guns. A criminal jumps out and shoots one. Remaining person from the couple then shoots the criminal dead. Neither are ‘in the right’ and at no point have I said anyone is, as they’ve both shot someone. You seem to blind to the self evident fact that the criminal should of expected to get shot at in return. Understanding rational logic isn’t spineless. Being unwilling or unable to acknowledge and accept A +B =C and that ‘committing the initial terrorist was a bad thing to the point that you just insult people is a MUCH better example of being spineless and proof that you know your argument is either way of the mark or utterly indefensible.
Reading comments about this TV Special leaves me wondering:
Why the nescient analogies?
It only took me twenty minutes to learn about The Legacy of the Rothschild Family, and how only fifteen percent of the land in Israel had been purchased before the Nakba (Nakba Day coming up May 15, https://www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/JVP-Nakba-Fact-Sheet.pdf ).
“Israel Knew Hamas’s Attack Plan More Than a Year Ago,” https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/30/world/middleeast/israel-hamas-attack-intelligence.html ). Israeli newspaper obtained government documents showing they knew about the planned attack, prevented IDF troops and citizens from publicizing it and withdrew forces from the area right before it happened.
Hamas knew WE were getting countries to normalize relations with Israel, and that once that happened any hope of a two state solution was never gonna happen. So, they HAD to poke the bear, knowing Israel’s response would be over-the-top, to force Arab countries to stop the process of normalizing relations. And, it worked.
But, apparently they didn’t factor in the fact that, while there are laws here meant to prevent tax payer money from funding countries committing war crimes, there’s also sooo much in campaign contributions that there’re now laws forcing POTUS, Congress and many State’s contractors to pledge allegiance to Israel (no President since H.W. Bush has really stood up to Israel in any meaningful way).
It took Oct 7th, and my government telling me not to do my own research, to get me to read for twenty minutes about how the State of Israel was created, another ten minutes to read about how racists agreed Jews don’t belong here (US or Europe) and should all go over there, and dribs and drabs since then (Israel has occupied Palestinian territories longer than Russia occupied Eastern Europe. And, people have the Right to fight back against an occupying force.) The only terrorists are US, the USA, and the Zionists. Racism is the hate that feels so good, and, we have to root out those dopamine pathways. Listen to Tucker Carlson’s interview with a Christian Pastor in Bethlehem to understand more about how we’re funding killers and extremists for the wrong reasons.
what time this drops? i am from holland I hope today the one they drop will be less huffy and puffy. going from a strong male partner to a couple drama is disappointing a bit.
I’m sure they took native French speakers and gave them a list of gibberish words that are incredibly similar to French. The accents are too native sounding, although I do know some polyglots that feel speaking a language is as much about the accent and culture as it is about communicating so they sound quite native themselves.
you mean it is about how you use your mout, like articulate. I read something about that or watched.
yeah they were problaby native gibberish uhh French :p
Perhaps the weakest episode of this season thus far with an underwhelming story , characters and villain with a really resolution which makes it look like that this episode was cut down from two episodes to singular episode.
i thought it was beautifully filmed and acted… and weaving in the traditional African storytelling/heritage was interesting.. but i had trouble understanding what the whole thing was about!!!
Wow, I am disappointed. The cast was okay, but the story was not even remotely heroic. It wasn’t the lack of super heroes that made this movie so bad, but that Marvel has moved away from the superhero theme to create a group of heroes from would-be assassins. Marvel has gone from being something special to being a conversion for criminals. It totally defeats the whole superhero philosophy. Boomers are the only generation left that understands why we even had superheroes to being with. GenX, millennials, GenZ and GenA are oblivious to the need for superheroes. Disney/Marvel … has adapted with public demand, but they have also lost themselves in the transition. Too bad! :(
Well now, turns out that NBC has cancelled this new series of “Suits” after just one season.
There are movies many discovered..but truly hate overwhelming folks. Thanks very much😉
Nice archive footage and of course the songs which have become classics.
I added another YT link. (It is a very fine movie, indeed!)

HAHA no I didn’t know actually but the part of the roofs remain right haha.
But that is actually funny that they made the language up that must be insain hard to learn they spoken it so fast and well.

I see strong similarities between these people and representations of the WWII French resistance as depicted in tons of other films, including similar clothing. I think the choice of “alt-French” was deliberate to evoke that.
Another damn fine film with 0 links as u tube account terminated

oh weird. I guess its been awhile since I watched an episode but man do they say & do things much differently now lol.
I love this series. I came to say, as someone fluent in French, they are not speaking French. It’s something else entirely, made to sound like French. Not sure if you knew/know that. If you already do, my apologies.

While you hem and haw, Israel is committing war crimes. You are spineless.

I truly feel they missed a great op of transfering/transforming B2EMO into K-2SO. The fact that they also did B2EMO dirty by just dropping him from the show with no proper ending and having B2EMO contantly ask about Cassian and if he has returned made it even worse. That was my only gripe this season, and the non plot wedding filler scenes taking too much of the storytime.
B2EMO got me started thinking he was bonded to Cass because Caz was especially kind to droids, or had a hand in making B2EMO sentient.
I’m disappointed now, being left to believe both droids sentience is in spite of Caz (but I could be wrong).
This show is hilarious like everything i know from Nathan Fielder.
Season 2 Episode 2 is insane. Legendary.
Sigh I’m not placing blame. I’m pointing out the realistic ‘cause and effect’. If you stick you’re hand in boiling water knowing it’s that hot you shouldn’t then argue that water shouldn’t be that hot in the first place.
Then when someone say’s ‘Well it’s not nice to get burnt, but what did you expect to happen doing that’ start accusing others; ‘You then obviously support throwing boiling water on everyone, You can’t assign any fault to the person who stuck their hand in to the boiling water, it’s the water’s fault for letting itself get boiled in the first place’.
What did Hamas expect Israel to do after the attack? Did they assume Israel would be all ‘Oh, that’s fine. Accidents happen, you keep those hostages if you want.’; To think Israel wouldn’t then go on a massive offensive is just the height of wilful naivety and self delusion.
You really don’t seem to understand the basic principles of a) Somethings, such as peoples reactions to terrorist attacks, can be easily foreseen by anyone with a modicum of intelligence b) A third-party perspective, c) that both sides are at fault as it ‘takes two to tango’ and d) Resorting to insults when you lack either the ability or knowledge to engage in civil conversation is really childish and pathetic.

When that killer black robot came out of the door, I was like. GOD DAIMN were fucked.
Then he shot that barricade block piece straight at the rebel. I woke up the entire neighbor hood.
We are so back baby.
Also as a roofer, i like the fact that they gave all the roofs a zinc plating because that is something the french are actually known for.
As the (ghor) are french native speakers I thought this was something well done.

It is long, slow, intensive; full of architectural designs, political ideas all held together by an incoherent, non-linear timeline. It was hard for me to finish it over three parts over two days though. At the very beginning, it reminded me of Fellini’s movies about Rome. I kind of persevered to complete it, because, come on, it is Coppola! It was well worth my time. It is one of those movies that keeps you thinking about it for several weeks.

I have no clue. I thought he was trying to hire her to find the boy. Which is actually her son. I don’t know if Ray knew she was that mother. If he did know, I can’t remember it being explained how he knew. If he didn’t know. What are the odds that the assassin he hired was the the same person in the picture. That was the core plot of the whole movie and I walked out of the theater scratching my head on that one. I expected her to show up at the shoot out at the end of the movie.
Yeah same, I wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be a thing to like ‘Bring her old personality back’ or just a major plot hole the glossed over.
Ignoring the truth and placing blame on those being slaughtered is ignorant if anything is mate.

I really enjoyed this and that surprised me! The acting is spot on, the story has excellent pacing, but it’s not the sort of thriller that has chase scenes, shoot outs or murders. I’m not quite sure what genre would be appropriate for it, but it’s a charmer. It is indeed based on a real life event from 1984. Make sure you wait until the very, very end to see a clip from the actual episode of the show Michael was on.
Although this is a great Kathryn Grayson film, Ann Miller gets a lot more recognition after the greatest dancer ever Eleanor Powell retired. She had some great chops.
After Singing In The Rain, Debbie Reynolds & Donald OConnor made this fun flick with some nice numbers. They’re very athletic dancers. There’s a cool unintended easter egg when Debbie is dressed as a football. Ha.
Una Merkle was well-known in the 30’s & she plays Debbie’s mom. Jim Backus from Gilligan’s Island plays Donald’d boss. If anyone remembers The 6 Million Dollar Man, the actor that played Oscar Goldman plays Donald’s love rival for Debbie. Noreern Corcoran is cute as Debbie’s little sister & has a good number with Donald.
Filmmaker George Wells was great just as Debbie & Donald were. He made lots of these fun flicks going all the way into the 1990s.
Yeah…nope…I have no interest in what these people have to say. This was always going to happen. The Saudis “loaned” Jared Kushner $2 BILLION, Jared immediately went to meet with Netanyahu and went on TV saying that the waterfront property in Gaza could be “very valuable.” It was always about Netanyahu, Kushner and Trump destroying Gaza so they could build houses and condos for rich Jews. They have no conscience, no goodness in any of them. Psychopaths, all of them. Money is the only important thing in their lives. I hate them with such a passion that I can’t even describe it.
She is absolutely HILARIOUS as well! She never takes herself too seriously or gets pretentious in the book. Reading it is like having beers with an incredibly bright, uproariously funny gal with amazing anecdotes. Her chapter about her “encounter” with Jim Morrison alone is worth the price of the book. Highly recommended. It’s available to flip through on archive.org’s open library. And her paintings are great.
My kinda girl. Total silly anarchist. One of my fav parts of her life was when she was banned from the White House for fear she would dose the Prez & guests with Syd.
I freaking LOVE Stevie! Her meeting Jason for the first time was adorable and her jumping made me laugh til I cried 😂😂
Bet that’s a good book. She’s an interesting, multifaceted lady. Became a painter.

This remake was about as necessary as Kirk Douglas’ nude in Saturn 3! Its also just as repulsive!
An interesting movie with one of the best sex scenes in cinematic history.
The Smell Of The 2nd Naked Gun not being hoarded isn’t too bad. Leslie found his calling.
It truly is. Now I’ve got something to watch tonight to feel sad and depressed about, while most likely crying a little bit too. But damn it’s good 😩
Aww. What happens to little Christi. It’s cautionary for sure to not glamorize opiates as a lifestyle because it can never be just recreational.
Christiane F is a fairly gnarly unhappy flick. This one is subbed with a time of 2 hours 6 minutes. The full uncut version however is 2 hours 11 minutes without subs.

Yesssss! I would give an eyetooth to have spent an afternoon with her listening to her talk! I would still, but I know she is a whole lot more private now.
