Well .. That was quite the episode . 3 thumbs up..

Saw the movie last night. This is one of the few “must see in theater” films of the year (let’s be real, this decade). It is beautifully shot, and they did a lot of work so that the SFX were used for the plot and not for the sake of stupid tricks and gratuitous explosions. The visuals are stunning and the vanity departments worked together to have an authentic look!

This is not a real “Spoiler” but a good thing to know going into the movie is, you are being taught the history of the blues and the traumatic pain that it came out of. You will then be taught how it branched off and influenced other music. You will see how other cultures having their own music -added to and guided that music (Afro-Caribe-Native, then bluegrass and irish folk etc) If you go into it thinking about that you will get more out of the movie visually and audibly. If you just go into it thinking you are watching a horror film that’s all you’ll see and you’ll end up with -6 and butt-hurt that the klan is the klan in every movie.

That was pretty good actually! A little hokey at times, but I enjoyed that!! Can’t wait for the next two films in this series coming out in 2025!!!

awesome attention grabber, if not for the slight accent to tilt the head for making full sense of what they are saying in a poetry way to each other the action in what they intended and did made this an awesome movie to sit still and watch in completion, 5/5

It’s funny you say that. I was late to the party, only started watching who in 2009. I quickly caught up. I’m going to rewatch the beginning of nuwho now. Love Doctor Who but these series are so short and we have to wait so long to watch them. And then it may go away for awhile. There still is nothing quite like it. But I’m really loving ncuti’s doctor. I do hope he will do one more series.

In the 1963 The Great Escape Donald Pleasence was a pow who had lost his eyesight. In The Great Escape II he is a Doctor with the Gestapo. Needless to say, I didn’t know there was a part 2 of The Great Escape.

Well, I have a hunch the news I read about this show being cancelled might turn out true.
I forgot who mentioned it but it was in the comments to this show.
But if they start out with injuries and a diver problem coming up, together with Dustin calling out the ends of funds I have the strange feeling it´s true.
Heck, I know it´s true, it was in a Haines newspaper. So: very sad the mountain didn´t give up the piles of nuggets and Dustin going broke.
Troubleing question: where´s the gold? Did the oldtimers get it all? Because it´s not of team´s effort and lacking equipment. They risked it all.
Maybe the gold is there but they don´t get to it, still? All the signs are there but not the nugs.
Maybe Nugget Creek turns out to be too risky? Or maybe the easy Gold is just gone and the rest may forever be in the hopes & dreams of the poor Basterds that are falling for it…
But I still hope there´s one Crazy out there that DOES find the pile of nuggets.
Maybe the Mountain likes privacy in the state of a lonely prospector without cameras to reward him in silence. Mountains can be weird…

I agree, wholeheartedly. Since I’m part of the Golden Eagle and Sea Eagle projects I can legitimately comment. It’s not going well. The amount of poison sold here casually to support farmers etc is catastrophic. Have you ever seen an Irish Sea Eagle? I am what you would call 5’10” and that birds body is half my size, minus the wing length. I’ve seen all the birds of prey poisoned due to ignorance and subsidies of cattle and sheep. It’s disgusting. It is the bane of my existence to deal with this level of ignorance. They poison bait, which kills everyone. Sorry, but needed to say that little. They are not just beautiful, they are essential to a healthy ecosystem and being an island, well, we are doomed. Thanks, Alien, and so sorry for the speach. Live free.

This was truly a joy to watch. Chelsie Preston Crayford was great and the cinematography top notch. Although some minor side-characters felt really out of place and was cast kinda bad. Would love to see it get more seasons!
