Grew up with Jimmie so it’s interesting to get his spin on stuff. Good showcase of Winslow’s comedic vocal talents too. Fun show.

Love the truth. Sadly, when your a child and always told that this book is the only book allowed, and made to live with like minded people, gather often to have mass celebration of that book, that contains rules that are read before every meal and words that must be said daily before sleeping..it’s easy to see how they can think it’s right as its what’s been trained and programmed into them their whole lives. You see that im sure. And I don’t mind that what they wish to believe as I was told to believe something else. Only the adults didn’t sent you off to camps and steal your property and valuables etc. Nor did my book say that others must be harmed. Just said love each other and till you live with them in their homes for many years then maybe you may understand what the think as they do.. so I did.vand the above is what I saw. People kept awake for days and basically couldn’t eat drink or sleep till repeat these rules over and over so it must be true.. but when they got to live with others who had a slightly different book..they got pissed. Can’t just let them believe, and still just give them love regardless..as their book didn’t mention that was ok. Well folks. It is OK to still love others who believe something else. We all die eventually anyways. But we don’t have to mistreat others until then. Infact, many dont! Until they let their parents who never lived daily with others to understand, sadly.

The Man from Earth (2007)

Great little movie with some solid actors. The entire thing is in a single location and is a conversation, with a few twists. It’s like listening in on academics discussing a thought experiment. Many may find it boring. I could easily see this being a small stage production on off-broadway. If the premise and my comment intrigues you, check it out.

House of Cards (1990) S1 E1
WeeKnighT 1 points 7 months ago.

Ahhh yeah… That’s it right there. Someone told me I should watch the British one, not the American copy. They were right, this one makes way more sense. I can understand the motivations, the leverage and realistic scenarios. This script doesn’t work in America, and the politicians have completely different leverage points. The American version should have gone with an entirely new script.
This is the REAL House of Cards.

Harvey Guillaume was really good in “What We Do In The Shadows” series and loved that show too.
Jack Quaid? First became aware of him on the terrific Amazon Prime series “The Boys” which, if you like the Comic book/Superhero Genre with a great storyline, good cast and over the top violence? Highly recommend it and the Spin-Off “Generation V” (recommend watching the 4 seasons of “The Boys”, then 1st season “Generation V” (the storyline ties directly into what’s happening in “the Boys” and then the upcoming last season of “The Boys”

augusts1 3 points 7 months ago*.

Oh, I guess I’ve seen Jack Quaid since I’ve watched a few epis of The Boys. I really liked it but it was too close to home for me w/everything that’s going on in the US. So I backed off from watching it. Great performances, etc but it was just too intense. I may p/u where I stopped off eventually.

I think that green kitchen was rather hideous. I felt like the appliances clashed with the backsplash & counter tops. I really disliked how the backsplash stopped halfway up the wall behind the stove. I thought most of the pantries were too narrow to be really usable & the living rooms were all tiny. Plunking a table into a corner does not constitute a “dining room”.

I loved this show! It is a shame that it was on Sci-fi channel and not HBO, amazon, netflix or some other service that is not constrained by network/cable TV. Rob Zombie could have gone all out had it been aired elsewhere.

this movie was too painful to even watch the first quarter of. i probably fell asleep 6 times before i called it quits. doesnt even come close to the original oz. if you dont want to ruin your child hood dont watch this movie. it’s better just sticking a needle in your eye, because movies these days are just shit and millennials are unoriginal.

Well, the casts interviews didn’t help my decision to watch it. They were awful and just weird. I like a good musical, but I haven’t watched this yet because all the wrong people seem to like it.

Dude that was just an outstanding example of impartiability. I don’t know why you’re so butthurt. Asking a muslim by birth an honest assessment of Christianity? How can you get a more unbiased account on history? Next you should ask a member of Hamas (of which I’m sure you’re a card carrying fanatic) for an honest critique of October 7th and the positive affects on real estate in Gaza since.

snazzydetritus 7 points 7 months ago.

And how could one get an honest assessment of any religion (including the one he is so obviously a sycophant of: Christianity…BIG surprise) or any person of another ethnicity from a xenophobic anti-intellectual named darklighter1?? Well, this is very convenient for me - as you have already many times over proven yourself an ignoramus and a huge BORE, I am finished with you. I won. You lost. Adios.
