Negative space is the perfect metaphor. I was on the outer orbit of an artists’ collective in the 1990’s and what really struck me watching this was feeling the utter lack of this sensibility in my life and a flashback to a lifetime ago. Brilliant watch.

I think I’m going to stop watching. I have never liked Vincent D’Onofrio and my dislike of him goes all the way back to Law & Order: Criminal Intent. I can’t put my finger on it as to why I don’t like him. I think it’s a combination of things, his looks, his attitude, how he carries himself and I notice people’s voices and for me, his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I can tolerate despicable characters but it is Vincent D’Onofrio that I don’t like.

You’ll be happy with it.

To his credit, it was Bonham who was a real support to Plant during his grieving. In fact, he was the only member of Zeppelin to attend Karac’s funeral. According to interviews I’ve read in the past, Plant no longer wanted to perform and he went back to school to become a teacher. He was particularly upset with Jimmy Page and felt that the magic was gone. They only reunited for a short time from late 1978 to Bonham’s tragic and early accidental death.

Nevertheless, this band is iconic, timeless and revolutionary. I really enjoyed this doc and will watch it again. Straight to favs for me!

yes it is heart wrenching the death of his little boy, R.P that is. He later on had another son. However when John died the band simply felt he was unreplaceable. Looking back on all the drummers since, they were heavily influenced by Bonham such as Dave Grohol etc so I believe they were correct on that assumption. May all the survivors find peace in their heavy loss. I’m sure they still feel it today.

Such a classic. I need to watch this movie at least once a year. 2 of my favorite fellow New Yorkers who are 2 of the greatest actors of all-time being in the same scene for the first time ever in a movie is great, but this year, I also wanted to watch Val Kilmer in one of his best roles imo. May you R.I.P. Val. See you on the other side.

All I can say is wtf dude?!?!

So a fanatic makes a mini series on old, dead fanatics……..and now in 2025, modern day fanatics watch the old world fanatics and all are fanatical about it……..how riveting!

Zepp suffered a lot of tragedy, including the death of RP’s 5 year old son Karac from a stomach virus, and subsequently how the media spun things out of context. That event caused RP to have a breakdown and the band to take a pause. They all seemed to be such great mates, and it showed in everything they did together professionally and personally.

This is the first episode in the whole series that I’ve seen, that did not have Raymond Redington in it. This is very peculiar because he was missed by me.
