I can’t believe Disney went Full Vampire, having Vampirina bite and turn the entire school under a blood moon was not something I thought I’d see in a children’s show, but hay, more power to them. The worldview that Don Juan teach Carlos about, and that he, Carlos, writes about are a very important heritage for all shaman based cultures, all over the world. Most of thees cultures have experienced severe suppression. Specially when it comes to teachings about power and how to handle and accumulate personal power. And when I say PERSONAL power I explicitly mean power that does not stem from position or possession or other resource access. I mean power that are accessible whether or not you are poor or ugly or unknown. A power that stem from your own personal mental integrity and ability to be so whole in your intent that you transition from you your self to become the tool for your intent, and so become the intent it self.. This is what this film or tale about Carlos mainly are about. Carlos have written closer to 10 Books, All are essentially speaking of the same thing from ever-deepening and varying vantage points, or seen with increasingly stronger “seeing” if you will, building on, from the reading of the earlier books emerged insights.
This books can not be read like other books but needs to be read slowly and with long pause in between to enable an beneficial internalization. An personal experience related association framework needs to be given space to grow for one to be able to fully utilize the books and Carlos and don Juan’s teachings to the fullest extent.
If done right and with respect thees books can be a key to finding a whole new and very empowering worldview.
Specially for people with a leaning towards Wicca, shamanism, Tantra, Aghora and witchcraft in general. Thees books are available as audiobooks but I would recommend to download them as epub or pdf and print them. Not listen or read on an screen. An other very related book about the oldest form of Tantra Yoga is “Aghora: At the Left Hand of God” by Robert E. Svoboda. (Interview with R.E Svaboda )
If you can find Castaneda’s books used.. Wonderful, but most of them that have them.. don’t sell them. Castaneda and his teachers teachings are a sacred gift to the Wicca community from the times before the burnings of the knowledge of personal power.

This is such a great movie. And it being a true story makes it even better. Perry did an amazing job in this film. He is missed for sure. If you’ve not seen this, give it a watch. It is inspiring, warms your heart, and shows that with a little love, and caring anything is possible. 500 stars from me.
