They are literally 2 years apart, her being older by 2 years is not too old when you consider that most Hollywood films have men 20+ years older than their romantic interests.

Piglet 1 points 4 months ago.

Okay, but she looks older to me. I really can’t complain about age differences. My dad was 24 years older than my mother. He was 50 when I was born, mother was 26. But he was a super dad!

I sort of miss those days when you only had 3 channels, not counting PBS because it had nothing good on it at that time, and you could watch one show in the season and another show on another channel in reruns in the summer…all without having to pay for it.

TacocaT 14 points 4 months ago.

In defense of PBS, they had the Doctor Who marathons. Mostly the Tom Baker seasons too.

Release date is August 29th. Maybe it’s just me, but Olivia Coleman seems a bit old for Cumberbatch. I just hope these characters haven’t been miscast.

You want an action movie without wokeness. This is your movie. I would put it on par with the original but adding more family in was genius. The end was classic. 4.5/5

How???? How TF did that win??!!???!?!? Ethan’s dress was beautiful. The volleyball dress (minus the shrug) was so well done. JosephMcCrae has way too much delusional confidence for his ability. Signing your piece when the judging is supposed to be blind, really? And the twin in the bottom (I honestly can’t remember his name) is also completely delusional.

These garments, and not just this week, are more costume than fashion.

I hate that it was A. a one day challenge & B. only Law judging. If I recall correctly it’s Heidi’s favorite challenge. This season feels rushed. The episodes are too short. I loathe the “cliffhanger” style ending. I’m considering just passing on the rest of the episodes until season’s end so I can binge. This style doesn’t build interest it actually does the opposite for me.

I am so terribly disappointed. Waited so long for this show to come back & this is what we get :(

Ya know, Gene Roddenberry had vision BUT he also came from a different generation, one that valued morals, integrity, individual conviction, social consciousness, community structure, and a strong sense of social justice. The writers today DO NOT have those qualities. They are of the newer generations, the self-serving generations, the generations that have made society what it is today. All they care about is creating a TV series with the best cgi to WOW viewers. I, for one, learned a lot from Gene Roddenberry’s original TV Star Trek series growing up. The show had integrity and that was important. Without Gene to lead the way this series has lost its way. Despite having a great cast this series has no integrity, no morals, no conviction, etc. The episodes are weak and sometimes ridiculously stupid. I find myself preferring to watch reruns of old Star Trek shows to get the Gene Roddenberry ‘feeling’ … to appreciate his vision and let my imagination merge with his.

Silvergirl01 17 points 4 months ago.

i don’t share, nor understand your opinion. i can see your point in some episodes, but yes, after this one and your usage of the word “woke” you should go and rewatch the old star trek series. or at least try the last few minutes of this episode again. there you have all of your mentioned missing points and why it is so valid and important to internalize the shown lesson and realization for today’s world.
we as humankind, and you too, need more empathy for all living beings.

One thing the producer and director forgot to emphasize with extreme is his hand to hand martial arts training his dad made him do when he was young. The hide and sneak stealth training him and his dad use to do every time the women werent in the house. Many don’t know but dexter is supposed to be quite skilled at hand to hand combat(like Jason bourne good)

Damn what a masterpiece i am watching this season and in the middle of the episodes i am seeing flashbacks of dexter when he was younger(the same actor), ONLY to realise that there are different branches of the same series 10 years ago…this is gold mine!!! … now i am watching all the series , when he was 10 years younger(Dexter) , the series when he was 20 years younger(ressurrection) and the present day series all at the same time

Nobody 2 (2025)
Piglet -3 points 1 year ago.

Well, I didn’t know he made the movie Nobody and now there is this one……”Nobody 2 already seems like a bigger and more ambitious endeavor. A first look of Odenkirk as Hutch has been unveiled, revealing the former assassin bloodied up once again and wielding a submachine gun. In Nobody 2, Hutch will once again find himself battling bad guys after being forced out of retirement in the first film. The ending of Nobody teased that Hutch would again be pulled into his former life and on a new mission. Although plot details remain scarce, it already seems that Nobody 2 is bringing an entirely new energy and visual style to the action franchise.” I guess I better watch Nobody first. Nobody 2 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2025.

This was the a classic type Star Trek episode! We can only hope that the writers stay on track and continue with good classic Star Trek episodes. But wonder when the computer type “bug” is going to appear that we saw in the last episode.

Dvora -1 points 4 months ago.

I disagree Piglet …. Gene Roddenberry would not have had any Captain in his Star Trek universe killing/destroying the unknown so easily. In fact, so many of the episodes these days are about shooting to kill first and asking questions later … while Gene Roddenberry would have asked ALL the questions first.

I’m still missing this show. If nobody picks it up, we’ll never know where all the strings left hanging lead. Too much more to see, too many more stories to tell. There has to be someone who sees the value in this show. Just one more season to wrap things up would be enough. Please!!!

Yeah we don’t get enough Kiki. I think her life is probably the most interesting/unique of all the women. I sorta enjoy both Adrianna & Myrasol tho Adrianna needs to hold off on the drinking if she can’t hold her tongue better than that. I’m on the fence about Stephanie. I like her in general but I feel we are getting a very curated view of her right now. Lisa is awful. Larsa is awful. Alexia is an idiot. I used to really like Julia but something icky is creeping into her personality. I think she is getting infected with Reality Star syndrome. We come back because, even tho we may not have their wealth or “fame” their messed up “realities” make us feel better about our daily lives shrug

Peace2yaa 1 points 4 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Agree, I would watch a show with only KiKi lol. She cracks me up. And Okay, I do get a kick out of Adrianna and Marysol. Watching them go back and forth is highly entertaining for me. Both drink too much imo however. Also, yes, I used to really like Julia and her farm animals. But yes, it’s like she’s been infected with Alexia poison. I actually can’t stand the sight of her anymore. She’s like a sneaky snake. Smiling at your face while plotting your demise at the same time. Lisa and Larsa are the 2 I really can’t stomach.

The hybrids are the main attraction for me so far. While synths have always had their part to play in these stories. Wendy and the lost boys are going to be the engine that pushes this story forward. The possibility of connecting the Tyrell corp with this world and Wayland connection with the new Predator movie looks to create a bigger world to play in. I have hopes it will an interesting one.
