Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman at their brutal best. Another great Marvin flic is Point Blank. It’s the original that Payback (Mel Gibson) is taken from.

Much to my surprise, Mel Blanc did the voice for Dino. All these years, I didn’t know that. Also Spielberg wanted to hire Danny DeVito to play Barnie. DeVito felt he wasn’t a good fit to do the part and recommended Rick Moranis. It’s a cute movie, good for a one time watch for sure
Glad to help! I’m trying to catch up on Nova and American Experience episodes I have wanted to see. PBS is an underappreciated, underfunded treasure.
I have been fascinated by Rapa Nui (Easter Island) and those stone heads ever since I was a kid. My aunt gave me Kon Tiki and all the Thor Heyerdahl books.
neofeudalistic religiozealot technowaste and the maddening beaurocracy of the imperium.
first in the series of the horus heresy series apparently

American Experience is another great show that goes completely under the radar! Most people I know have never heard of it. You might also like Storyville
I dunno what the F is going on? Who wrote this shyte??
One think I hate is kids in movies and musical. The hype around super human actions only to get are we there yet kids who want to go home. ?
Not realistic at all. No one was driving a Toyota Camry with scraps and dents all over it
Kind of anticlimactic but at least America lasted another week lol. I really wonder if the rookies are going to just demolish the vets this season. The rookies are so much younger and in better shape. Knowing the game only goes so far if you are just out matched in the eliminations.
As a massive fan of this trilogy since the original 28 Days Later, I have to say 28 Years Later hit so many of the right notes for me. Danny Boyle returning as director after all this time felt like coming full circle. You can feel the DNA of the first film in every frame from the raw handheld cinematography (loved the iPhone shots!) to the haunting score that echoes John Murphy’s iconic work. What I really appreciated was how it didn’t just try to rehash old ground. This one leaned heavier into the psychological and even folk-horror elements that sequence in the second act with the ritual? Absolutely chilling and felt like a natural evolution from the madness we saw at the end of 28 Weeks Later. And seeing the emotional depth explored between the parents and their son gave it a weight I didn’t expect.
Well stated. I really enjoyed this too. Love DB’s directing style & Alex Garland’s screenplay was a nice departure from the typical zombie genre fair w/the emotional development of the leads. I loved seeing Ralph Fiennes in that role as the crazy Dr being introduced late in the film.
EXTERMINATE! (I know, that’s not how dalek is spelled but I couldn’t help myself…)
I expected a film-docu… what I got was time travel back to an era nearly forgotten!
Ummmmm… Is this suppose to look so much like the Blair Witch project?
I literally cannot wait. Please, please, please Alien gods, let this be worthwhile. 🤞
I see a positive comment from :magically_delicious: and I’m watching!! :-) Hope you’re doing good! I’m a little late on this show but thanks to reading your comment I’m gonna give it a shot.
Until they get the MRI, Nia’s injury prevented her from competing in the challenge yet she’s considered okay to participate in the Elimination? Doesn’t seem fair.
Pretty good so far. I just don’t understand why they made the world’s youngest trillionaire a foolish man-child.
Thanks for bumping this in the comments! I meant to watch it when it first came around and then forgot.

This is so interesting. And wild to see a 70-year-old Polynesian historian from Rapa Nui wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap.

It was the Swelter Shelter excavation, I think.
Google Maps pretty much confirms it was right there at the Mesa
I read your reply that up just now, and started looking it up. The years line up too. Good catch.
Wtf did I just watch. Had very rare semi funny moments. Just a lot of animated dog sex/buttholes and balls. How this got such good actors to voice is odd
Yes it did.
I’m an Asmiov fan too from my first run with Lucky Starr series and then obviously the Robot series. I just didn’t want to assume you meant they should have started with the Robot series, but with how popular the Foundation adaptation has been consdering how complex it is, the Robot series will probably be green lit, although I personally feel the Lucky Starr series adaptation can be done properly now and would be an absolute banger of a TV show.
Thank you! I have never read Lucky Starr and just bought the unabridged audio-books to listen too. My introduction to Asimov’s works was the Robot and Empire which spurred me on to find out more since it left a lot of question on who is this? Why is this happening like this? Where did the rules come from? etc..

This has potential but will have to give it a couple of episodes to see how it grows on me.
Solid pilot. Action feels a little slow but the acting is well done. I think one of the actors is the lady from covert affairs/coyote ugly.
Can you tell me if the cat survives, that’s my biggest concern 😂😭.
I recall watching this show many years ago and the shock on the men’s faces when they revealed the truth in the last 10 mins, had the editors reaching award winning heights !
The repercussions of the revelation had contestants in Court and another died in the process.
I’m not revealing anything more than that….but the Producers AND TV Channel , should have done prison time for what they put all the contestants through !
This is the most beautiful cinematography of all of the previous episodes. Nature is so freaking amazing!
Weirdest and most unsettling thing in this show are Timothy Olyphant’s bleached eyebrows……

OMG! Kirk, Spock, Ahura, Scotty and Chapel all in one place at one time! It can only get better from here. I feel like I’ve been sent back in time to my early teen years, awaiting Thursday night, then sitting on the floor, completely enthralled with the adventures of the USS Enterprise. Gotta go watch now. It’s going to be a good day!
