Great debut epi. I definitely remember the first 2 short films in this, the 3rd I remember some of it. The 2nd one w/Joan Crawford was directed by Spielberg BTW. Great performances by everyone in all of the short movies & really creepy, the 1st & 3rd. The dad in Happy Days is in the 2nd short too.

I recall this show. I generally couldn’t handle watching it much since it gave me nightmares as a kid. I’ve grown to appreciate well done horror as I’ve aged though, so it should be interesting to watch this as an adult.

I, too was yelling, “just don’t f’n stand there, help him!” And I noticed the filter too and thought he is not going to get blamed because of his banging his ex! I knew she was going to try to blame it on him with cig and then the gloves. But he didn’t use an accelerant and that makes 3 mistakes. How many neighbors have door cams too. Can someone explain the nickel he used with the cigs and matches?

Star Trek: Voyager (1995) S2 E16
The acting in this series is seriously good. I did love DS9 but the acting on DS9 is nowhere near the talent this casting has, after watching DS9 and now this, I have to say the best actor on DS9 was without a doubt Quark imo. Sisko was an amazing captain but even his mannerisms got annoying after a while. Captain Janeways portrayal of empathy, justice, fairness, and strong moral compass are just astounding to me, she was a good pick for the show. Did a little reading and found out the actress that played Katherine Janeway refused to let the writers put her into a romantic situation on the show, she wanted all the focus to be on her as a woman in power aboard a starfleet vessel, a smart move. Even Chukotay asked her about pairing off with someone a few episodes ago, and her response was even if she wasn’t married it’s not a luxury she is afforded being a ships captain.

It really is. I know everyone says the books are better than the show/ movie when talking about screen adaptations. I’m not saying it’s better, but is certainly worth a read. The foundation trilogy was probably what sparked my love of sci-fi. That being said, I think they’ve done a great job of capturing the spirit of the books.

Ironically, I’m not a reader of Sci Fi. I generally stick with High Fantady. My late friend Neil raved about the Foundation series but I never got round to taking him up on reading them. So, I think I should. The only downside to stories like this that span large timelines. Is getting used to the ever changing character lineup. But they seen to be consentrating on on just a few chatacters so the view can maintain some sort of attachment to the story through them. I books the jumps are more fluid as it’s about the readers imagination seeing them. Where as TV is a visual media, so makes it harder to pull off!
