I meant it mostly as a joke to poke fun at a good TV show. But how could she not have the ability she instantly touched this screen and Other screens and instantly takes them Over. Yet she wouldn’t be able to do that? More likely in my eyes it’s because she is a kid and didnt really understand what her brother wanted. They play up them all being dumb immature kids.

Just watched the first one, and am about to go to the second one. Can’t understand the hate this is getting, thought it was pretty good. Some people are complaining that it was too complicated, too many plots and sub plots, they must have the attention span of gnats, this was not at all that complicated or hard to understand, and it does explain at least to some degree where and how the synths came into being from the other Alien movies.

That being said, clearly, they found a way to program them, so they were not just human minds placed into machine bodies at some point, so they could do the bidding of the people that programmed them. Thinking that would probably make more then a few of them psychotic, which we might well see in future episodes.

It was a lovely down-to-earth real good acting struggle between what you love and who you love.
Wyatt Russell was outstanding, I’ve watched him a few times and I’m very impressed.
I am sure Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are proud of him.

About to sit down and watch the first episode. Couple people already complained it was hard to follow on account if all the plots and sub plots, but I myself kind of like that, keeps it interesting. Will have to dive in and see for myself though. Either good or garbage, am about to find out I guess.

This is Seaseon 3 .. I am confused… what do you mean?

Xsile 10 points 4 months ago.

The entire collection is multi generational and pretty cool. Kinda like how they did the expanse and basically skipped the entire multi generational part of it. If you read the books Holdon and Naomie have kids that go on to have adventures and then they have kids that continue onward.

Foundation (2021) S3 E5
Xsile 7 points 4 months ago*.

Isaac Asimov’s “I, Robot” and “Foundation” series are connected through his broader “Robot” and “Foundation” universes. While the “I, Robot” short stories were initially separate from the “Foundation” series, Asimov later integrated them, making R. Daneel Olivaw, a robot from the “Robot” stories, a character in the “Foundation” universe centuries later. This connection is solidified through the “Robots and Empire” novel, which bridges the gap between the two series by describing the settling of worlds that would later form the Galactic Empire in “Foundation”.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

Initial Separation:
The original "Foundation" trilogy (Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation) was written as a standalone series, separate from the "Robot" stories.

Integration:
Asimov later decided to link the series, particularly when writing the later “Foundation” books like “Foundation’s Edge” and “Foundation and Earth”.
R. Daneel Olivaw:
The robot R. Daneel Olivaw, introduced in the “Robot” series, appears in the later “Foundation” novels, appearing as a character twenty thousand years later in the Galactic Empire’s history.
“Robots and Empire”:
This novel serves as a crucial bridge, detailing how the worlds that would become the Galactic Empire were settled and how Earth became radioactive, which was a detail first mentioned in the “Foundation” universe.
Unified Universe:
By integrating the “Robot” and “Foundation” series, Asimov created a vast, unified “future history” encompassing his works.
Reading Order:
While the original “Foundation” trilogy can be read without prior knowledge of the “Robot” series, the later “Foundation” books, particularly the sequels and prequels, benefit from familiarity with the “Robot” stories, especially “Robots and Empire”.

I think that aliens may already be around and maybe their intention is to help humanity. 🤗

Jirido 6 points 4 months ago*.

May and maybe. It sounds like you hope.. My “the oldest” brother were taken up to an UFO in a multiple dreams and was being thought different wisdoms. To the contrary, he has always been a self righteous and sanctimonious, false cheep baby copy of a man. My father, sister, mother have all seen UFOs close up.. I have really not seen any change in them. If “they” actually are here and trying to help.. Well it does not seam to look to good. Maybe they aren’t that smart or are just being human.. Humans are enormously powerful over nature but are still emotionally petty and seemingly even more shortsighted than any earlier agrarians that at least invested in their soil and forest for their offspring’s well. We don’t seam able to react rationally to the obvious threats to our host organism and in extension to our selfs but are blinded to anything beyond our blood(just and just), skin, wallet and lifespan. To me it seam to be a cultural, psychological and identification problem. I suspect that it is our cultures underling taboo structures and fear for social exclusion that induce the blindness/inability to react. A freeze of sorts. I also think it is the same suppression and sublimation of our “wild” identity that, trough war related inventions and strict uniform class organization, have brought us this technological powers that both have given us prosperity, internet, the space race.. And overwhelmingly large bombs. The insanity is just the other side of the coin. Any nearing to touch on the taboo structures is in the “underground”(the inner searching lonely dialogue) meet wIth the argument that we then would slide back into the wild chaos and just primitively satisfy ourselfs organically and loose it all. Have to start from scratch while being hunted by MadMax. We wild back to the nature children kind of all know this” dialouge” from the underground of our culture.. So if the Aliens now have the technology to traverse the stars.. does it mean that they never have outgrown their scientific blindness in front of their culture’s taboo structure.. or that technology can survive the confrontation and outgrowing of taboo as a concept.. or that they are motherfuckers and always have been.. And in all this.. what can they say or do that can save us?? And specifically what that we can’t say or do our selfs. Taboo both in the clan and tribal context as well as in the family have been understood scientifically for about 100 years at this point. Or is the problem we have actually a technological one? Harry is a more or less a lovely cannibal that kills his father without a tear. He does not seam to have much of a family structure to fall back on. Did he ever mention his mother? But then on the other hand what did he teach us? What if we are on our own? Sorry now for mention taboo. It is always.. But yeah, being of such an Alien adjacent orgine and all.. What can I do? 🥺😳😬🤔😁

This is one of those rare times when you want both people to win. Happy for whichever wins & devastated for whichever loses.

That pressure test was crazy. The final product from both looked amazing. This version of the show blows all other countries out of the water. I don’t even bother with US & Canadian versions. I will miss my nearly daily dose of cooking excellence & patiently await the next series.
