This is the 3rd version of SCTV that nbc had.

First of the three SCTV series. Great comics came from the Second City comic team, including most SNL pioneers.
awesome the last time I check there were no links thanks for pointing it out to me
Yep your dad’s a bad ass musician. Happy birthday to him (party horn -toot!)
awe thanks and so are you. We will be celebrating it this weekend. Thanks for the birthday cheer.
The cinemax version of the original CBC Second City TV that spawned great comics.
SCTV is THE BEST! Catherine O’Hara, Gene Levy, Count Floyd, The MacKenzie Brothers, John Candy… Andrea Martin did the best characters… OverTheTop comic madness. There were 3 versions of SCTV too. I think the last one was the one on Cinemax, maybe nbc. We were kids & that was ages ago. The original from CBC was great.

Yeah all my friends loved my Dad. He’s still a kid at heart for sure. He just turned 81 on Monday

Then there was the duo Bod and Doug McKenzie Karrrkkoo karrookakoo Remember them from SCTV. There albums were so funny too. It was around the same time. They were Canadian eh?

Loved all those. Made Denny mad by wearing out his albums though, so we had to make cassette dubs of them haha. Big Bamboo, Los Cochinos & Get Out Of My Room were our favs. You had a cool dad. Our dad threw our dubs out once he found them.

yes I remember the listening to the albums too. I would have been the same age. I watched the movies with my Dad when I was 12 years old. Those are some great memories I hold near and dear now

No doubt this one was weird with the lizards and all that. Still nice to see Evelyn as Donna & Paul as PeeWee again. Our best friend’s big brother had their albums when we were little. First heard them when we were in 3rd grade haha.

I thought this one wasn’t nearly as good as the first 2. My favorite will always be Next movie

Interesting adaptation of Ursula K. Le Guin’s material. She was a real peach, that lady. Total sci-fi fantasy original. A very good video bio was done right before she died:

The adaptation with Kristen Kreuk, Isabella Rossellini, Danny Glover & Emily Hampshire is the one we’re most familiar with:

There’s two adaptations of The Lathe Of Heaven too. Both good:

Excellent arc. Edge of my seat, again. Some terrible losses. Some conspicuous absences in the last episode.

hambuuuuuuurger…wasn’t ‘nice dreams’ the 3rd film in the franchise ?
It’s based on this movie of the same name by Alan Alda staring himself and Carol Burnett https://www.primewire.tf/movie/182217-the-four-seasons
Yup, saw it when it came out - Loved Alda’s cameo appearance here, very nice touch.
they did that dog thing for 4 months thats cray, i dont know if he has to recreate the wheel of psychological discourse, its nice to have application and also the internal experiential thing to understand better and all that but recreating a town for a dog with all these shifting actors proves little but i guess the questions could be valuable, like how much can we recreate experiences etc. just hope those actors are getting paid well for the megalomania of one persons inferences about something he really could have just studied the literature on, which i guess he did anyway, so its a bit confusing for me watching him watch someone act as someone else just to get insight about some random aspect of being
“is this hell?” well actually…. watching this the first time was hard. each subsequent viewing is harder because you know what comes after.
Seeing Xander understand what the issue is with Buffy before Willow or Tara realize their mistake, I know people hate on the character (and the actor) but he does get some insightful moments. The horror of what they did (or neglected to do) is something that gets swept away too quickly and something I think about alot during season 7
Satisfying conclusion. And Queen Latifah is just divine.
I was happy with the ending, I feel like the creators must’ve known it wasn’t coming back so they crafted a proper finale.
Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna (2025) Documentary

He is indeed! He was in 251 episodes of Mash, plus his career has never stopped. Get this, his birth name is Alphonso Joseph D’Abruzzo! He’s almost 90!
Never in a million years would I have pegged him as an Italian American.
This episode is worth watching for three reasons; seeing the minor league baseball promotions gone wrong, watching #преступник45 be adamant about the worst photo-shopped photograph of all time be authentic & seeing a Canadian grandmother call #преступник45 an a$$hole…
Mitoris was the best comment on the Oyster catchers rebrand. Fricken gold!!!
Great 3rd Cheech & Chong flick has early appearance by Paul Reubens PeeWee Herman, Tommy’s wife Shelby, scream queen Linnea Quigley (Return Of The Living Dead) & centerfolds Cheryl Rainbeax Smith as well as Evelyn Guerrero who was married to Pat Morita (Happy Days, Mister Miyagi-Karate Kid).

Pubbum’s song of return coupled with the post-apocalyptic snuggle sesh = 8/10
But, that was only 20 seconds of an otherwise, “good,” episode…. Still, in Adventure Time, I guess that’s roughly two or three weeks.
And, this link’s dead as well.
Who’s currating The Historical Documents?
please…?
This reminds me of the dream sequence in the movie, “Wild Strawberries.” (full of sound and fury…signifying nothing)
Link’s expired also.
I can’t believe I found this. I can remember seeing this on TV in the early 60’s on the Saturday Sci-Fi matinee. For whatever reason, this movie has been stuck in my mind forever. I remember this and ‘the night of the blood beast’. I’ve found several others that I recall from those days, from the late 50s to the mid 60s. Terribly ‘b’ grade, but the nostalgia is worth it.

is this scorcese getting scared of dying and repenting or something, i got thru three of em , cant be arsed
It’s fun to realize, as this story progresses, there’s a teenager on a desert planet longing to leave home while an old magician watches over him.
M.A.S.H. guy , he was great

Bella Ramsey who plays Ellie is just very young looking. She also was (her character) 14 in season 1, but season 2 is 5 years in the future. IRL she’s actually 22.

Guess not then but Ellie looks like 14.

lol Besides, this adaptation is holding very true to the game. Nothing has changed, no one has forced anyone to watch anything. This truth will get down-voted anyhow. They are lurking over every positive comment like some sort of bizarre basement dweller infected mushroom heads themselves.
Actions have consequences. Plus, if this was real life, I would not be responsible for my actions if I ran across Ingrid.

Nice Dreams for your pops ☬☄
