I really enjoyed this series, hosted by the late Michael Mosley. Excellent and thorough history of subjects. I had to look away a few times when he put the needle in his hand though!!

Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025)
Jirido 11 points 5 months ago.

Meh, a lot of screaming and flaying about. One can see some cross contamination with “Alien” in the main monster thou. Maybe this indicate that the Alien in “The Alien” was not an Alien but rather an early Earthling?? Interesting is also that it can do dramatic shifts in size after need. NOT a Spielberg movie for sure.

booger 3 points 5 months ago.

Looked more like the “Rancor” than “alien” to me.

Currently the TS!! is well worth watching what with great quality and minimal visual ads.
The movie is not bad and is setup for the whole family although aficionados will be disappointed with the lack of imagination for the bigbad esthetics, lack of imagination for the storyline and lack of imagination for every other aspect of quality storytelling. The acting is more than adequate and the fx is overbudgeted.
Watch with the kids to get them interested in the franchise or don’t.

This is really good. The story telling and world building is crazy. Every 3-5 episodes they switch characters which normally I don’t like. But the stories are so good and semi interconnected that it all just fits. Reminds me of the wild cards book series by George R. R. Martin. A bunch of cool superhero stories over years that slowly connect to each other.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025)
EnterShowStopper 3 points 5 months ago.

My New Favorite Character Mole Man. For the cast of the Fantastic Four didnt care for the look of The Thing, Johnny Storm felt like a Cartoon Character the entire time and didn’t feel realistic at all, Mr Fantastic just felt like a he didn’t know what to do most of the time and that is bad when he is supposed to be one of the smartest mcu characters. Sue Storm even though not perfect either was my favorite out of the Fantastic Four members. Galactus felt and looked like a shitty CGI Robot only wanting to end his Hunger and that is why Spoilers: He wants Franklin because he can thinks Franklin fulfill his hunger. Silver Surfer character was a great character addition to the story.

Ozzy Osbourne (1948–2025)
Today, the world has fallen silent. Rock has lost one of its biggest icons, a legend, and a true humble soul. Ozzy Osbourne has left our world.
Born John Michael Osbourne in Aston, Birmingham in 1948, his unmistakable voice, energy, and stage presence would echo far beyond his humble beginnings in Birmingham. He wasn’t just the lead singer of Black Sabbath . He was a musical revolution an innovator and a icon in heavy metal. The godfather of heavy metal, whose voice defined a musical generation.
His life was marked by chaos and controversy, but underneath it all was a man who lived with his heart on his sleeve .Raw and real thats who Ozzy was. Ozzy spoke openly about his demons, and his flaws and his health. Maybe that’s why he resonated so deeply with us metalheads. He was at once larger than life dark, wild, and raw.
Ozzy was more than a lead singer. He was a symbol proof that strength can rise from our imperfections, and that from the dark, one can find their true voice. His solo career gave us timeless anthems like Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, No More Tears, Mama Im Coming Home. Shot In The dark and The Ultimate Sin . His songs pulsed with power and emotion and defined a generation.
We remember him on stage, arms raised high, roaring into the night . We remember his infectious laugh, his absolute madness on stage, and his total honesty, and this humbleness that shone through in dark times.
Now, he’s somewhere up there in the sky maybe on the other side of that big black star. But his music and legacy will live on forever. His unmistakable voice, his undying spirit, his musical legacy. THEY WILL NEVER FADE.
Thank you, Ozzy. For everything that you have gave us metalheads without you and your bandmates heavy metal music would never have been created all the bands that we love would have never been here for us to enjoy without you!!

My trick, when I’m waiting on a series that has a start date, I add them to “Watching” which pops them into my schedule when the time comes…wish I could do the same with movies.

Wow, this is one of these most boring movies that I have ever tried to watch. Watching cold molasses run down hill is more exciting. It is not witty or humorous or even charming …. in fact, it is a sour drama about dating. Despite the good cast it is slow and uneventful. The writing is too serious, too realistic, too blah. There is nothing to engage the viewer other than the actors. And, it has one of the most unusual beginnings to a movie that I have ever seen. I am actually regretting the time I put in trying to watch this one.
