R.I.P. youll be missed…..P.O.D
Damn, and so many well-wishers were saying recently they enjoyed his just being on stage at recent concerts.
I never saw him, or watched the reality TV stuff, but I did computer tech work for the guy they hired to put together the party where an outsider “won” the piece of jewelry (which they thought of as theft)…. (That was my six degrees of separation.)
When I was a young troubled teen his music lifted me out of myself, probably saved my life. Tell randy hi for all of us!
yeah it was a little ambiguous.
distilling is a bit like alchemy though!
I disagree, it just takes a few months reading on https://homedistiller.org/forum/ and a few months practice.
Remember, or, in case it’s not common knowledge, back during Prohibition most of the people who were poisoned? That was caused by the government adding poison to popular ethanol sources but not getting the word out.
Most people distilling on a small scale know to “toss your fores” or, foreshots (the first 250ml to come off the still) to avoid methanol and blindness (and, if you get methanol poisoning, the cure is ethanol.
It was good to see they spoke about “cuts” where he said they wanted the “hearts,” not the “heads,” or “tails” (unlike Jack where they mix it all together and try to filter out the nasty tasting stuff with charcoal).
The process they showed is called “rolling cuts” but at home we’d seperate the second or “spirit run” into twenty small mason jars, let them off-gas overnight loosely covered with coffee filters, then decide which to combine based on taste (starting at the end so as not to blow out your taste buds, and mixing with water toward the heads to open up the flavor). It’s not just hearts you want… that process is a little like alchemy!
Early reviews coming out. People saying it’s really good. Let’s hope.
I think the two guys running Bruichladdich in Islay were talking about a distillery that closed in Scotland they wound up buying for that $25k figure (remember they said they went to just try and buy a fermentation tank or two). They didn’t say whether they just brought back the equipment, or re-opened it. I could be wrong. I’ll check out “The Angel’s Share” sometime. Thanks for leaving a comment here, I wouldn’t’ve watched it otherwise!

Didn’t think I’d learn much (I’m such a know-it-all, and, once upon a time, spent a few years learning about and doing home distilling), but Did not think I’d get weepy.
coupl’a asides….
Governments taxing alcohol is evil — I agree with them, and, thought problems with revenuers were just here, and a model the U.S. exported to the World as part of our anti-weed campaign. Silly me.
Never saw barrel heads painted; wonder if it cuts down on angel’s share losses?
Wish I could afford good Scotch, but, “Old Bardstown,” Bourbon’s a happy compromise.
It’s cheesy, splatter n gore
i dont get the plot fully
it feels like 5 horror movies blended in a mixer
and lets see what we got…..

i need suggestions for shows kind of like this, does anyone have any??

just finished - ep. 6 of Grantchester - I watch this one as it’s being aired on Masterpiece on Sunday nights on PBS - it’s amazing how Robeson has aged but also “not aged.” I think he looks terrific.. they are filming one last season of Grantchester now before they call it quits. Hard to believe though that it’s been going for 11 years!!! And has gone through three vicars!
Even when he was young, he looked older than his years. I’m going to miss Grantchester so much! I wonder what Robeson Green is going to be in next? I was sort of surprised that he even took Grantchester, but he’s perfect in it as the grumpy policeman. I don’t have a TV at all, so I just watch it here the day after.
just makes me think of angels share when the whiskey judge was umming and arring, ‘hints of disinfectant’. directed by andrew peat which is such a classic name for a whiskey doc. like dickens or those dogs that look like their owners and vice versa
Aerosmith def one of my fav rock groups, along with Van Halen(separate from hard rock/metal)
Joe Perry is probably the most underrated guitarist of all time and in my top 5 maybe. Top 10? 110%
Whats with all the downvotes? Is the Westboro Baptist church on PW? lol
Or is it a neo-feminazi mad about the Manson comment? Keeping in mind the guy has been making music around 35 years now, and as far back as 93 has always been risque and offensive. His whole brand was based around being the most “shocking” during the bands peak. Only 30 yrs later,
now it’s a problem.
Hell, I just saw that even Stephen Colbert is getting cancelled right now too lol
Yeah don’t talk about anything out of the norm. We went off the movie so we are down voted. My go to right now is Shinedown but I love the rock/ballad rock with a message. Van Halen with or without Sammy? I have also seen Pink Floyd in concert sadly from very nosebleed seats even so great show. As for Colbert love the guy and last night was epic!
There is a trailer, but I can’t upload it. I hope the movie is worth watching because we know Hollywood will milk it for all it’s worth and rely on the success of the original movie to tweak interest in watching a sequel etc. The original Alien movie came out in the early 80’s. Of course, technology has come a long, long way since the 1980’s. Imagine how good Alien would have been in the 1980’s with present day technology. Which brings up Hitchcock movies and what he could have done with technology. Instead of relying on chocolate syrup for the bloody shower scene……
That sucks big time. Covid screwed so much stuff. The other major headliner with Ozzy was Disturbed, no place to escape the moshing for them, let me say when you are a 36 you are a old F at the time, that shit is no fun! . Manson has some great music out there, just screwed up like many artist are. I am a rocker and some metal is fine but not my first choice. Best concert by far for me has been the 5x I saw Prince, Aerosmith puts on a hell of a show

Thank you for validating my reason for hating 99% of things he’s starred in. That being said, this is the only one I’ve watched and enjoyed. listening on my headphones while doing chores means less Nose time. it’s brutal to look at because all I think of is the number of sucker punches he’s taken for bad jokes.
You hate 99% of the things he’s been in because of his nose? Seriously?
If you read the link discussion…you’ll be glad you did. I was since I got to watch the show.
It kept my attention though all 10 episodes mostly because of the cast. I will not watch it again like some other short series.
We just discovered this a few days ago. It’s not on Peacock or NBC. We’re up to season 2 episode 8, and wondering when they’re goin to give the women any character/personality. Is there going to be a 3rd season?
i liked it, my favorit is the piglet XD
ok Arnold is getting old, it shows in the action scenes for sure
but hey he’s retiring as an agent….AGAIN lol
the daughter character is driving me crazy,
can i shake her upside down a little?
Donny? an adult man actlng like this? hmm
I think The Naked Gun would translate well into an animated movie. I would have preferred that. I get that it’s not a reboot or a remake but a continuation. Still, the only Drebin I’ve ever known was Frank, not his son Frank Jr. If they at least didn’t call him “Frank” in this story it would have been easier to swallow, now it seems they are piggyback riding a franchise that was made by Leslie Nielsen comedic genius into a cash grab.
I don’t like the daughter. A disrespectful, petulant child!
Agree, even that she is now adult and an agent she has no sympathy
and makes the same ‘’mistakes’’ that shes pissed off on her father for
facepalm
Jimmy is trying to act like the male version of Rachel, right down to the gloves. Should be an interesting week coming up or so you would think.
Enjoyed it and it was a very good show with great acting but it just felt so sad at the end.. Even him leaving everything behind, doesn’t feel happy..
I need happier shows in my life 🤦♂️
I recently watched a Hal Hartley film and really enjoyed it. So I went searching for more of his work. This film is strange, but also brilliant. Also a great cast. The ending left me speculating that who is the monster is a matter of perspective.
i’m sorry but you are incorrect. A spoiler ruins plot or surprises. I did not describe any scene, i described a single shot within it. An image. I did not ruin any plot point in the show. I described what is NOT THERE or explained. I described a specific shot/camera angle within a scene . There was no talking from the character when they were in the background. There’s no plot, subplot, or scene when a picture in someone’s hand is shown in passing. I’m literally asking, “has anyone else notice these two kids are referenced but never pictured the entire show?”
It is too much trouble if people do not see it or read it because it is hidden, and I want them to look out for it, you know so we can discuss it, which is what we were doing and what this are a was intended for.
The dumbest genius’ on the planet, and they wind up together? I hung on because one of two of the fellow bad guys had potential, but that’s gone now, not a single enjoyable character. They present a local legitimate businessman as a villian (but he’s bad because he’s putting local farmers out of business by growing better crops?).
The entire show’s moral compass is completely upside down, it’s very disappointing.
Thanks for the update and reassurance I bailed at the right time. lol

yes its extremely distracting plis he always has ridiculously wild hair and i think he can’t act very well
