I just a few hours ago finished watching Karen Pirie. Oh yes, Robeson Green. Just adore that man,.
just finished - ep. 6 of Grantchester - I watch this one as it’s being aired on Masterpiece on Sunday nights on PBS - it’s amazing how Robeson has aged but also “not aged.” I think he looks terrific.. they are filming one last season of Grantchester now before they call it quits. Hard to believe though that it’s been going for 11 years!!! And has gone through three vicars!
I know it’s three movie-length episodes, but I always want more. There are plenty more novels in the series to adapt, so hopefully, it will just keep going on and on. It’s a refreshing show and so easy to watch.
yes it’s well done and has been popular, so they will adapt more I am sure - the series totally captures the essence of the books - Val has a new book in the series - I saw it on Amazon. I think it comes out at the end of the year - and is available for pre-order….
Karen Piri is out now - 3 episodes, all movie length - all one story though - based on McDermid’s books - yes, it’s always great to catch up with Robeson Green and his younger days…

I can’t remember if I watched this, but I believe I did. I love Val McDermid, but I may just download the books and read them instead.

Funny this is up here. I’m going to watch this again after a few years. The new shows are slow and what the hell, why not. Weird but a good watch.
Anything that happens in a movie or show can be a spoiler for someone that hasn’t seen it. I haven’t watched it yet. You just described a whole scene, practically. If it’s not too much trouble, just click the box!
i’m sorry but you are incorrect. A spoiler ruins plot or surprises. I did not describe any scene, i described a single shot within it. An image. I did not ruin any plot point in the show. I described what is NOT THERE or explained. I described a specific shot/camera angle within a scene . There was no talking from the character when they were in the background. There’s no plot, subplot, or scene when a picture in someone’s hand is shown in passing. I’m literally asking, “has anyone else notice these two kids are referenced but never pictured the entire show?”
It is too much trouble if people do not see it or read it because it is hidden, and I want them to look out for it, you know so we can discuss it, which is what we were doing and what this are a was intended for.

I, PAINSTAKINGLY, went though this season, 1 ep at a time….slowly making my way to the….CLIMAX….just to find this ending??? I thought we were done here but see you next season!
I honestly dont see the appeal of this show unless your a preteen of course. ITs just 30 year olds acting as 16 year olds actings like 20 year olds. Sure if your 10=15 watching this its gonna be great, but if your an adult watching this… its just kinda weird in my opinion.
I know what Fubar stands for FS. HCL is classic. So stoked to watch this! Lol you said Porky’s! Hahaha DANG
Loving this show
Reminds me a bit of Skins
yes! its very much like Skins! sadly season two wasn’t so good, and not too thrilled about season 3 and don’t think the show should really continue especially with everything that happens in season 2
Good to see Dickie Chivell in action again…dude is definitely certifiable
A couple of ladies (or just one) can bring down a group of kidnappers, without any help from law enforcement or any kind of training. That’s how cool this movie is. Actually this movie is a joke. :)
FUBAR = F*ed Up Beyond All Recognition. It’s a classic up there with Porky’s www.primewire.tf/movie/187142-porkys
and Hard Core Logo www.primewire.tf/movie/251647-hard-core-logo

Dang! Malcolm-Jamal Warner, known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died. He was 54. He drowned while swimming in in Costa Rica. He had a role in a new drama I watched last fall I think and he had come a good actor too. RIP Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
I’m giving this one another try and I’m on epi 4 and it is still slow, but I’ve got nothing else I really want to watch right now.
Something that’s bothering me the entire show (and this is not a spoiler just a hole in the story)
The character Jill says she has 2 daughters and a son. In one scene one daughter is behind her in the kitchen with her back to her. we never see her but she’s cooking and looks tall. 13+ years old? So Caleb must be the youngest since the two split up after and based on the timeline the daughter is too old to be the new husbands’. There isn’t a single picture of the girls. Every time they show pictures the girls are not present. The new husband even implies he’s not a father and wouldnt pretend to know what its like when he confronts Kyle. Does that mean Kyle just abandoned his daughters when he and Jill divorced?
It is a bit confusing to say the least, Jill remarries Scott, and could the girls be his? Dang it DownrightDebonaire, now I may have to watch it again! But I didn’t see any pictures of the girls with Caleb, Kyle, and Jill.

It almost always happens in crime shows here in the US. If a guest star is on the show and well know, that person turns out to be the villain. But I thought surely it wasn’t this person but sadly I was wrong.
you hit the nail on the head Piglet. The problem isn’t the writing it’s the B/N/Hollywood systems. They set it up so there’s a hierarchy, ego and stigma to having a diverse career. It’s all commercial, less artistic. Until TV changed a bit 15 years ago, it was looked down upon to do TV & Movies or Theater. In the UK you see what entertainment looks when it’s sponsored right. Imagine if PBS was sponsored and supported the way they claimed it would be - for the sake of the arts, and public enjoyment. That’s UK TV. It’s foundation is more about the arts and being an artist is your public facing job just like being an anchor person or meteorologist. You’re providing a service to the community. A no-name will get the lead because they are the best for the part, and a famous well known actor will guest star on three shows while also starring on their own. show in the same season. less ego and stigma about doing little roles. It’s work for them. Here its frowned upon to be in more than one lane. So when an actor shows up on a show you know they are going to be someone important even if they are in what appears to be a tiny role. It ruins the outcome of the whodunit. Idris Elba is a great example. He’s got 50 different artistic paths and will be Luthor one minute and Big Dris the DJ at a party the next week.
Acting and everything was good. Just felt like a paint by numbers mystery. Pretty much what you think is going on is.
Whenever there’s boss that is overly involved in the main character’s life as they are on a seriously flawed heroes journey — when I ask myself “Why do they keep covering for them?” they usually end up being the betrayer. “It was an accident”.
This was pretty close to Joe Pritchett. if you enjoyed this I would recommend that show as well.
Dang! Subtitles which means I will have to watch it when I’m not busy with something else.
Now that is a cool piece of trivia thanks for sharing that Piglet
Very welcome and I had no idea either. Sharon Stone is the kind of person who would do this.
I watched this movie at the theater and just read an article about this movie and what Sharon Stone did. “The Kid,” which was played Leonardo DiCaprio and at the time, he was only 21 years old, (he looks more like a 13-year-old) and TriStar Pictures didn’t want him for the role. Sharon Stone, was a producer on the project, and she thought he was the best actor to audition for the part of The Kid. she was told that if she wanted him in the movie, she would have to pay him out of her own pocket. No surprise here, she paid him. DiCaprio was beyond grateful for the opportunity and has Sharon to thank. If she hadn’t paid him herself, would he have been cast in Titanic?

I can’t remember if I watched this unusual drama, but I do remember seeing Amy Brenneman in it. I think I stopped watching after the 2nd episode. Has a great cast, Scott Glenn, Regina King, Liv Tyler, and Amy Brenneman. Might give it another chance.
How to kill the Spock love story arc? Make an entire episode revolving around him getting over it. Add in a Q for a little fun.

She’s BACK!? I didn’t even know this season 2 was happening! Woohoo!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it and was able to finally watch it. :)
Season 4 is being filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico and season 4 should be released in 2026.
When watching this western I had no idea who Titus Williver was nor Timothy Olyphant. Might be worth a rewatch now that I know and like these 2 actors a lot.
Bertha is REALLY starting to piss me off. And Phylicia Rashad’s character….Doesn’t matter if its 1877 or 2025. They exist.
Due to Fathom Events releasing this picture, I can’t even watch it in the theaters!

Lol I think that there are certain websites for that kind of stuff lol.
Yeah Disney+. hahahaa…
