O.K., I broke down and tried to watch this, and it was just sad. Can’t believe he made this one, must have needed the $ to travel for his martial arts, as he was the only one in this that could actually act…made it 27 minutes and then stopped. Didn’t see it as having him even having any real fighting scenes in it at any point either…

Personally I wonder if Criterion’s a scam to make money by capturing the disty rights, but that’s mostly cuz it’s kind of hard to find links.

“Uncut Gems” is a thoroughly engrossing, hectic character study of a diamond/jewelry broker in New York City. The look and feel of this film is frantic and chaotic. It encapsulates the personality and life-style of the broker, Howard, whose life is literally held together by what-if’s, gambles and impetuous trades, even at the expense of familial relationships, and his own reputation. Truly, this film had me captivated in a tense and anxiety drenched fervor to see what would happen next. Adam Sandler is well-utilised in the film beyond his usual ranting bellows into a character that is believable and hard to look away from.

Hahah you gots it bud! And you got this! and remember it’s within you to handle anything life throws your way, it’s just “God”s way of showing you, you didn’t need his help your already strong enough!

It’s really easy to hold a movie up to a camera and say “I love this film, it’s great!” I mean, doing Closet Picks obviously gives them cool cred.
