not a bad movie! a bit slow at times, but not a bad film. very sad. If you like Latin American cinema, and you like particularly Brazilian cinema and films like The year my parents went on vacation, Pixote, Carandiru, Central Station, and City of God and City of Men, and Kiss of the Spider Woman and Roman Polanski’s Death and the Maiden then you’ll enjoy this film. make sure to have a box of tissues next to you. and blood boiling those fascists and their movements are alive and well in Brazil and the entire region of latin america and globally.

if you like Latin American and Spanish cinema you’ll have a soft spot for this, if you are a Marxist who detests all forms of capitalism and the meanness that is the upper class and you enjoy films like Parasite and Triangle of Sadness which deal with those issues albeit in very extreme/eccentric ways then you’ll have a soft spot for this film. don’t know if I’d watch it again but its an interesting picture and struggling to find something? might be worth your time.
