I dunno… closeup into Capt’n Kirk’s red watery eyes is creepy enough. Got Visine?

That kind of took me for a loop as well, I’ve been binge watching this so I can hopefully answer some of your confusion even if a little. Going into season 1 they both made it very apparent that they love each other, but D’Eanna makes a statement somewhere towards the end of season 1 that she knows “William loves her within the boundaries of the federation and his ambition to become a Captain himself” Following this, they never solidify through words or even actions that they are in love or in a relationship, infact Riker makes repeated attempts at flirting with many off world species females and science officers throughout. Then, every 10 episodes or so, we get episodes like this, where we see that they do clearly care for each other very much, beyond that of Commander/Crewmate. I am not entirely sure why they never just outright touch on the subject of Riker and D’Eanna, it’s all been cloak and dagger so to speak, I won’t know more till I finish up the series. Hope this helped.
nice little indie flick set in the US. nice little slice of drama life. I really enjoyed it and ignore the negative reviews and low ratings. if your a fan of Imogen Poots, Mackenzie Davis and June Squibb then you’ll love this movie. Much preferred Poots and her character here then in Mobile Homes. give it a shot, trust me there are worse movies and tv series you could be suckered in for watching. enjoy!
This truly isn’t a fast-paced movie and, although it’s a unique and intriguing story and the acting was fine for the most part, I found I was unable to relate to the few characters involved as I was too busy questioning the inconsistency of the characters’ actions and reasoning as the film progressed.
Whilst it does have a sense of tension throughout and the occasional fleeting moments of creepy horror that may well send a shiver or two down your spine, the tension is almost entirely non-horror, family-related and the few very short-lived moments of ‘horror’ really only come across as reminders that in fact, this is a horror film and not a drama. Other than that, there’s really not much else as there’s not a lot of special effects and the ending left me a little disappointed with unanswered questions and a strong sense they ran out of budget, as a better ending would have made everything before it worth the time spent.
5/10
I used to love watching Jackie Stewart race. Roman Polanski was free as a bird in Europe.
The scene where he suddenly noticed someone was listening to his secrets was cute.
Lol & actually didn’t Franky make the bride for himself first? so it would tech be bride of frank .
I think he made her for the monster first under threat. Then Dr. Franky banged her in Penny Dreadful, monster didn’t, so yeah *chuckles
The original classic was Bride of Frankenstein in theaters in 1935. They never made Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster even though that was the case in Penny Dreadful. So there’s that… *sticks out tongue. hehehe

This kid shows up on Worfs front door on DS9 and STILL has daddy issues lmao.
Always been a fan of this show and the cast, Oldman plays Lamb brilliantly; I would like to give a big shout out to Mary Kate Morrell (Busker) on a superb and apt cover of the Zombie’s track She’s not there.

i just realized shouldn’t everybody be correcting and saying it’s Bride of Frankenstein’s monster, too? LOL

This season finale made little sense to me
I’m watching this a bit later tonight. However, going by the end of the last episode and the blurb at the top of the page, my take on it is that Godolkin is basically going to reveal he’s back, make another more public ‘Watch me cull the herd. Splat Remove the weak for they are worthless’. Then get either all, or just those who’s records show them to have a ‘useless’ power in one area and making it a battle royale to the death/only X% allowed to survive. He may kill cypher as a show of his disregard for humans if he has no use for them.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the very end is Godolkin and Homelander getting together as buddies or him taking over Homelander.
Though of course knowng my luck I’m 100% wrong and they all end up eating ice cream and stroking puppies…. looking forward to finding out.
Well, dont speak too soon….because although Del Toro is superb with horror and fantasy…he does have Oedipal issues…. and tends to romanticize the monsters with the leading ladies.
So we may have a predictable emphasis on Victor being the monster again, in the end.
Not a bad thing , either way….and I agree, the Trailer looks brilliant .
You do know that in the original 1818 novel the monster gets Frankenstein to make a ‘bride’ for him…..So that’d kind of be in line with the original…..
Ok there’s: Witches, Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein and Monster, Bride of Frankenstein, Dorian Grey, Dr. Jekyll and the Devil. Think I got em all.

An update on Wind River: The Next Chapter: the sequel explores more about what is happening on Indigenous reservations. This sequel will raise awareness for other important issues related to Indigenous communities and reservations. This sequel was filmed in 2023, and Graham Greene is not listed as one of the casts. I did look at the list of cast members and Jason Clarke looked familiar and then I realized he is the main character in the new drama The Last Frontier. You would think during this 2 year period since filming ended, there would be a release date, but alas, there isn’t.
What a great movie, amazing !!! I loved the charecters and the plot is well written.
From the Derry Girls creator comes a new series. “Clever, chaotic TV writer Saoirse; glamorous, stressed-out mother of three Robyn; and dependable, inhibited carer Dara have been a tight-knit group since school. Now in their late 30s, but still as close as ever, these three friends are about to embark on the most thrilling adventure of their lives. When an email arrives, telling them about the death of the estranged fourth member of their childhood gang, a series of eerie events at her wake sets them on a dark, dangerous, and hilarious odyssey through Ireland and beyond as each tries to piece together the truth about the past.” Will be released in February 2026.
I gotta check out Penny Dreadful City of Angels now. I didn’t even know
I wasn’t sure to begin with but this has turned out to be an exceptional series!
The constantly evolving dynamics between this group of friends and frenemies is a comedic delight and it was easy to become fully invested in all the main characters (especially by the end of season 2, phew!), so much so I’ve caught myself cheering the action along out loud more than once!
If you’re missing the world of ‘The Boys’ then this is definitely for you. 10/10

Love this show. I never watched It’s Always Sunny, but there is one more season of that, so I’m wondering if Kaitlin Olson being on this means season 18 will be the last one. I was planning on making it my next binge.
Best Nazi zombie flick I’ve seen. Interdimensional Nazi Zombies! Not a comedy either, Horror/Thriller. Happy Halloween!
Yes heck yes 100% agree with you on that. At least we knew as viewers that Shameless was ending. Not this one though and then that sad attempt to bring it back or whatever they were trying to do in 2020 https://www.primewire.tf/tv/1327514-penny-dreadful-city-of-angels. I don’t know about you but for me it was a huge disappointment

Agreed. However, I was satisfied with how Shameless ended. Penny Dreadful? Not so much.

It’s nothing like it used to be. Now I know why a dear friend of mine said are you crazy? Don’t ever go to a concert by yourself now adays. I was thinking of going to see Sarah McLauchlan in Ottawa this fall. I know she and Travis Scott are worlds apart. But yeah I think I just stay home and listen to her on Spotify
There are two series I was absolutely crushed when cancelled this one and Shameless US

Well, if it isn’t “Vampire Bill” ! …long way from Bon Temps, Louisiana, Blood !

Trailer looks really good. Looks like a straight up horror story that’s faithful to the original story and not been jazzed up for some social message.

This is a very good quality film playing out its drama in an early 20 century, bourgeois but still lively and interesting environment.
There are the crazy uncle, the missing father, the insane mother and the evil and suppressive priest stepfather.. And the children trying to navigate it all, violence included. An masterpiece.
Well I never read the book by Roald Dahl,
but this was funny and great characters
please stay for the credits, theres a great scene there
Oh Man O cried! A 67 year old vet knows….. Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong….

Happy this is back for a 3rd season! Thanks for the links!
