What a terrible thing.

Just a week after it was reported that Hiroyuki Sanada would return for another Shōgun season, FX and Hulu announced they are developing two new seasons of the acclaimed drama.
In an announcement on Thursday, FX revealed that it would be teaming up with the estate of author James Clavell — who wrote the original Shōgun novel in 1975 — to extend the story into two additional seasons. Shogun Seasons 2 and 3 are both currently in development, and a writers room is being assembled. Woohoo!
Yes and no. :)
That has answered my question perfectly…. I’m not confused at all.
Just going off the tagline on the poster of the film this film sounds exactly like Death Race 2000.

This is one of the films my mom insisted I watch when she thought I was old enough to get the messages within. There are worse ways to parent a child.
Thanks for the write up. Would never have seen this, otherwise. The fact that Ravi Shankar did most of the music makes this an undiscovered gem.
Rewatching this amazing AF show. Its about the aftermath of an alien invasion if you like sci-fi you will like this.

She’s a good egg. We had to go over Keyes’ work again at uni. It’s that significant.
An examination of many things including ethics & developmental psychology. Well done by Cliff Roberts as well as Claire Bloom from The Illustrated Man by Bradbury & original Clash Of The Titans.

Kids will love this movie, Heck I’m in 70’s and I thought it was good.
It is rated R for sexual content, frontal nudity, so I wouldn’t let kids watch this one. This movie reminds me of Clan of the Cave Bear although the plot is different. I’m not impressed with it. I wouldn’t watch it again and I don’t know what to say about watching it all the way through except once you see it, it’s kinda hard not to stop seeing it. However, it’s original and definitely different.
is there gonna be a s4? been “to be determined” for a long time now
The original, and superior IMO, Flowers for Algernon adaptation.

Huh, I had never even heard of the book! I just saw the movie posted here for the first time. If the movie was good, I`ll bet the book was better.
Keyes wrote it before my time, but our teachers really saw great value for it in both literature & biology ㋡
this shhow is amazing I love it and what it brings to the world and I hope it blows threw more towns and breaks down the walls kisses kisses
Required reading in our U.S. classes. Twice. Grades 7 & 9.

One of the best movies to come out in over a decade. I’ll watch almost anything with Cary Elwes.

Does it have a happy ending? If someone dies then I don’t wanna see it.
Grew up with their music. Beautiful melodic voices. They’re timeless like the Beatles & Elvis.
Tom Hardy never quarterbacked the Patriots…that’s preposterous!
it may come as a bit of a shock…..but there are many Tom Brady’s :p
Tom Hardy* There fixed it for you.
I didn’t even realize that I had made such a mistake lol I will surely be thrown out of his fan club after that kind of madness …cheers Scotsman !
Classic. So many good actors/actresses in this one. So young, too. Ahhh… the 90’s. It’s a bit tragic, the story. But, that’s how the cookie crumbles. I love the ironic ending, though. 4/5✨
They’ve already tried evil/horror Winnie-the-Pooh, so how about evil/horror Dr. Suess for this one:
From there to here,
From here to there,
Cannibal Rednecks are everywhere!
My suspension of disbelief does about as well as the old Tacoma Narrows suspension bridge did when the idea of controlled euthanasia of a large segment of the population is the major plot point - but only because of the “controlled” part. The reality is the wars that would be fought over the dwindling resources and/or the massacre of ecological refugees fleeing to places where it’s not as badly devastated is our version of population reduction. Or if it’s internal within a country, more like Soylent Green than The Road Warrior.
It’s more of a nitpick than showstopper for me though - some of my favorite SF stories are the ones where the authors come up with unique post-apocalyptic societies (not including “young adult” orientated stories where a single teenager changes the entire world order by being plucky and self-confident).
Pretty decent movie, starring Ned Leeds, pretty good comedic actor.
I’ve been reading Tarot cards - the deck created by Alastair Crowley, as it happens - for over 30 years now and no one’s ever warned me about “the sacred rule of Tarot”, and the worst evil I’ve ever summoned was something that made my date pass out from drinking too much just before we slept together, once. Mildly annoying, but hardly unspeakable. ;) hehe
That said, I’m looking forward to a non-cam version. There haven’t been enough escapist “creature feature” type horror movies that don’t try and teach a very heavy-handed lesson. Abigail sort of fits the bill, but I’d rather have another Night at Willy’s (or whatever it was called, the Nick Cage vs. animatronic weasel movie), Alien, or Chucky movie, or maybe that great GEICO “when you’re in a horror movie you make stupid decisions” commercial made into a movie. That’d be fun. :)
Didn’t think it would be back. I’ll start on it.
Same. I was surprised to see Season 2 pop up on my Schedule here as I thought it would be S1 and done.
I remember reading this in grade 12 English in the ‘80’s and it’s still part of the curriculum now (in Ontario anyway).
It was never part of the USA classes. I am guessing Canada had more fun with education!
Thank GODzilla I waited for the HD version. Movie is so good! Paused in the middle to come comment.
This was a fun ride! Loved it! Now I’m going to have to go back and re-watch all of them. You just can’t beat Ghostbusters!
And without Tom Hardy….the shoes will never be filled !
Oh God, really? I genuinely thought there was another episode, it’s just a place holder until June 13. We have all held our breaths to see Penelope finally get some (love) and this is where they pause? What a vicious way to keep everyone tethered to the show. Damnnnnn…
| watch a lot of True Crime Documentaries and am not often shocked by human depravity but after seeing the interviews of the 2 killers in this I am now sure pure evil does exist
