Gritty, fast paced, A list cast and plenty of drama! It’s a different perspective on the crime drama genre, with a “Training Day”, “City On a Hill” and “Mare of Eastown” feel to it, all gritty and dark with compelling “take no bullshit” main characters. Hopefully it can keep up its shocking, yet intriguing piolet episode! So far so good! I’m Excited to see where this goes. Happy watching!

Hey, I have yet to watch this, have been involved in other things, many of which have wound down, and am now looking for something worth a decent binge. Just started Landman, which turned out to be a pretty good show, as well as Obituary, which reminds me more and more of Dexter with less blood as I go along. Was wondering, since our post is a few years old now, you have probably got a couple seasons under your belt, how you felt about the show at this point.Is it worth the binge? Lot of episodes out now, so considering earmarking it for the near future.

I’m a nerd. This discussion made me curious about actual numbers so I went to look at reported data. 333M genpop US citizens in 2020, 252M of genpop were voting age in 2020 (75%), 168M of total were actually registered to vote in 2020 (50% of genpop, 67% of all voting age), 155M of total actually went out and voted for some issue or other in 2020 (46% of genpop, 92% of registered). You can draw whatever conclusions you want about why 2/3 of people eligible to vote did not vote at all. Your numbers are pretty close.
Some votes make no difference, some votes have significant impact on you whether you like it or not, and your vote actually is meaningful. People do not vote every office on the ticket for a presidential election. A significant number of registered voters go to vote only on things like millages that will raise their local taxes, weed legalization, reproductive freedom, state and local representatives. Which idiot will run their school board and ban books, which idiots are running to turn half the city roads into expensive and completely unused double bike lanes (those people won and flipped council by a mere 29 votes), which idiots are running because they believe property owners who have rentable space but choose not to rent it should pay heavy fines, because baristas have a constitutional right to live within a five minute walking distance from work, there’s not enough affordable housing right downtown, and they are too precious to ride an almost free municipal bus to work from a neighborhood they actually can afford. 56% of registered voters in my state voted to legalize weed, the people in my state are now free to light up a spliff all day with no harassment from The Man and my city now has more weed shops than restaurants.
Whatever you believe about criminal syndicates running the United States (accurate) there are still cases where your vote is highly relevant. My mother was a poll worker all of her married life and I grew up sitting on the floor of a gymnasium for 24 hours straight six times a year. End of rant.
Awesome show! Jeremy Renner is criminally underestimated.

I have not watched this show yet, but was interested in your comments about voting. I think one of the problems we have, and this is all across the country, is people don’t go out to vote for the ‘smaller elections’, like town council, and those people ‘at large’ and so on. Most people drive right by the signs and never really pay much attention to them, and have no idea when the elections are taking place (for the most part they are not even advertised, with the exception of little blurbs on am radio) or much of anything about the people running, which is sad, as the people getting elected for these positions are the same ones that deal with the zoning laws, and wind up making up the school boards, and so on,then people complain about the way things go. Well, you get what you vote for, and if you never paid any attention, and then never opted at all, you simply get what you get, and you have no one to blame but your self. But that’s just my thoughts on it, and what do I know.

This movie made my face red and set my hair on fire. There is nothing worse than people dying in the name of ignorant hate. However certain scenes brought out the realism of the real struggle of the civil rights movement in the south during the mid 60’s. I can not believe the lengths that Dr. King had to go to just to bring simple rights to the black folk. Long live the dream. Amen

I saw it is really close to Philly so I can see the gnarliness of the show being on point, but was it that gritty &/or an actual prison town or is this mostly fiction?

Dang I can’t say I felt for the ridiculously crappy hunters having a HUGE unfair advantage and still not hitting nada, going down. Just had to say lol but damn that was terrifying wtf??
(and btw I love hunting & trapping just wish people would make the tools they use and try learning the actual skill of being one with your surroundings and knowing the patterns of your prey . Not just using huge amount of tricks and tools that take any chance or equal possibility of danger out of the equation. I can say skinning gutting and butchering an entire dear & sharing with your crew in the middle of the woods is one of the best experiences and food I’ve had my whole life. Also trapping wild chicken in wilderness after nothing but rice and lentils & purified river water for a week was the most delicious meat I ever had. I was so hungry I learned to make that trap and how to find their trails with everything I had and wouldn’t you know we walk back to check traps couple hours later & dinner was waiting with it’s neck snapped and nothing but rope handmade from vines/bark I made caught it. I miss Idaho/WA coast wilderness so much. It changed my life and everyone should experience nature in the wild once in their life)

Whats sad about those figures is that it makes it very clear that a third party could actually win by a landslide if people would only get up and vote for them. The US system is particularly bad, a vote between two kings and their queens (will never understand the first lady nonsense, its especially abhorrent), a farce really, a pretense at democracy that seems to have little to do with party policy and more about personality cults. I dont blame people for getting disillusioned but the most important change US Americans could bring about is to open up the presidency and government to more than two centrist parties.

The U.S. has had so much potential to rise up but so much work into the science of keeping us down at the same time we were awakening and starting movements to stop oppression. So just imagine how powerful one of those two things are now… Not to say their isn’t always a way to rise above and a reason for hope.
But we need to stop fighting each other is my countries biggest blockade from really being free in all manners, and taking back the freedom they so proudly write in our countries words and songs and have drilled in our heads.
I feel like, as usual, the future is always in our hands and the youths hands.
I mean just look at the youth now is barely drinking at all (TY Mary Jane legalism!) and is not going to large organized religious institutions in mass. (Please fact check that because I’ll be sad if that’s not true anymore)That right there gives me a lot of hope & I pray these changes and courage to do what they feel is real keeps happening, also I hope these weak plastic regimes and wars finally crumble and stop some time in the future.
We need more war like we need more pollution. Humans need freedom to learn and to move and grow from interactions with new people ideas, to see what is real out there. Stagnation and adoption of rhetoric/beliefs/hate and/or prejudice will only keep us repeating the past. Ok I’ll shut up now. lol Have a goodn’! And be kind to each other damnit!! ☻ ✌ 🏴

Their only there to be the face of who’s in control and for the public to put their attention on; when unhappy about any and everything. i.e. They (political parties/candidates) are here so we never look at a bigger picture, and so we do this: waste of time, arguing w/ each other about what or who is the problem.

Do you think the ones really holding all the power (money) see us as “the problem” or “who’s in charge”? Actually I bet they do see us as the problem and that’s why keeping us mentally caged, w/ fear (terrorism, pandemics, bombs, gangs=boogeymen & monsters) physically caged w/ busy bee jobs that take up most of our time but don’t help us grow financially mentally intellectually etc.
Only keep us busy as not to rock the boat (their boat, the general publics boat can be rocked as long as it results in less cooperation/unity & more fighting separation and distrust amongst the peasants no matter the how/why race/culture/religion all these are things that divide us when they used to bring us together. but everyone for themselves & dehumanize anything outside your door is the go to now.)
And inflated lives making us think we need to be whole by having enough stuff so we are always after more money to keep our life and be a “real” person.
Greed and hate are the qualities that are held up high now. As long as your always hating the right people and being greedy for the right thing, they’ve tricked us again from being moral and kind to each other. Being someone raised in the church I find even if people were serious and tried to live like Jesus, that would be amazing and such an opposite lifestyle than what is idolized now, more than ever.
If we can not play their game one day, we might see how much power we do have when we realize we are all one and are all in this cage.system together, and the only thing the system needs us to do to stay in power is to buy things. Just one hour of 50% of the country not buying gas, we could make demands of the oil companies. So on and so on w/ any other establishment.
PS This kind of action wouldn’t need any bloodshed either, but we still think wars were all fought for power of one over another. But everything is about some other hidden bs almost always for $ or a juke to make more. I’m sorry I’m rambling but I am just overwhelmed at having to see the same bickering all my life and wonder how we are never seeing a bigger picture. But everyone on the same channel going to the same stores will easily keep us all thinking and doing the same thing, so no mystery at all I guess. Thank God music nature and subculture kept me out of the so called melting pot that only has burnt away our culture, languages, history & knowledge to give us pop culture, debt, fear, anxiety & depression. But hey at least Prime is around, and we don’t have to sit through endless repeating adds. (seriously,i start loosing it watching reg TV) Just understand we are all in the same maze together and have more in common than things that separate us or makes us different. We are each others power at the end of the day. Cause without all of us their is no commodity to feed off of, their is no masses to do all the meanial jobs that keep it all running etc. Don’t think the feelings that something isn’t right aren’t correct, but don’t accept them telling you these other common people or any of the symptoms of the system are the cause. We are all smart enough to see if we stop repeating what others tell us and check for ourselves.
I believe the internet can/will be a tool to unite us, if we open the doors and let each other be honest and have compassion for all our species. I mean what kind of intelligent species is constantly wiping themselves out? We are better than this and are better than we tell ourselves.
When I traveled the country by train/walking everyone no matter the neighborhood was kind and generous when i was in need and at my lowest. I was always scared of the world before but after meeting more of it I saw the everyday person has the same wants and needs as I and has a big heart actually.
We just want peace with our family and loved ones and want to be able to provide and feed them and ourselves. We don’t need to destroy ourselves and the planet for that. Only a parasitic outsider would be OK with this. That’s as far as my conclusion has gone.

The 4th sub in the list worked best, the one with ‘’…HVEC 265 BONE both.srt…’’ in its title.

I finally got around to watching this and it did not disappoint. The Tradition, the 2 branches/1 tree connection solidified with point of origin explained. That ending was hysterical, and, very much keeping in line with the Karate Kid Traditional lingo and infused humor. Well done. I enjoyed it. No links here with subtitles. I looked on a few other stream sites that offer subtitles options at the ready on all their films. After watching this film I think I will revisit the entire movie and tv Karate Kid/Cobra Kai Franchise for a 2026 binge watch. Looking forward to the next KK Legends 2 film.

There is a trailer, but I can’t upload it. I hope the movie is worth watching because we know Hollywood will milk it for all it’s worth and rely on the success of the original movie to tweak interest in watching a sequel etc. The original Alien movie came out in the early 80’s. Of course, technology has come a long, long way since the 1980’s. Imagine how good Alien would have been in the 1980’s with present day technology. Which brings up Hitchcock movies and what he could have done with technology. Instead of relying on chocolate syrup for the bloody shower scene……
