This new band of telepaths are cancer to everyone and everything on Babylon 5 and need to be cut out. I’ve always kind of sympathized for the telepaths story arc, but the way this dude prances around saying things like “The mundane” or “Thats what one of yours did to one of ours for the crime of being who he is and what he is”, and now “Promise me Lyta, when the time comes, you will do exactly as I say”. Man I hope this guy gets sent out an airlock for real.

Wonderful cinematography. Great characters and acting. But a super slow story and ended up feeling I actively had to wait for scenes to end..which is not a good thing.

Thank you Dethkids. Haters everywhere and they don’t know how to be nice. They get more joy out of being negative and doing their best to bring others down with them. And they probably wouldn’t do something nice like open the door at a business for someone else. It’s the small things that can make a person’s day. Manners/morals/civility seems to not matter anymore, and it is very, very sad!

I respect that you like it. I was not a fan of this one, saw it back in 2012 when someone I was hanging out with suggested it. I’m decidedly anti-rom-com, but I love Eugenides, which is why I was surprised he co-wrote it. I’m especially not fond of the rotten Bateman siblings.

greyfur 1 points 7 months ago.

I have not seen any, and I have looked. I honestly have looked after each episode, and this is the first time I have seen a comment posted. That being said, there have been a few times that I have looked at a spot for comments, and seen nothing, then later the same day, saw something in the sidebar, comment for the same thing, same spot, clicked on it, and there were a crap load of comments, so WTF? Why couldn’t I see them before when I was there, and some of them went back a little bit…

Very weird, and has happened several times here, like comments are just invisible for some reason until you see one in the side bar, then you get the rest of them.

Borderline (2025)
darthdirk 1 points 7 months ago.

The trailer gives away that this is a kind of weird movie. Definitly rather a comedy than horror movie as the horror ist mostly played on with clichees and the violence plays more like a Guy Ritchie movie. Starts out very promising and has some memorable weird and funnny scenes and characters but after a while it feels like no one really knew where to go with this and the movie kind of just tapers off for a long while. Still some funny ideas in the end but this could have been so much better with a tighter script.

Memoir of a Snail (2024)
darthdirk 4 points 7 months ago.

Such a sweet story. If you liked Mary&Max you will love this.
Adam Elliot has such a unique way of telling and animating stories… this must be his magnum opus. The animation is perfect, the characters are tragic but lovely. Its a really sad story not shying away from the harsh realities of life, yet told with so much beauty, compassion and hope.

I’m a fan of the Mission Impossible movies, after I saw the last one on here I went to the theater to see it properly. That said, this one was a disappointment. Not only will I not be going to see it “in theater” but I could barely slog thru it here. Instead of just Xing it out, I came back the next day to watch the last 25 minutes. I don’t think it was the length that made it so tedious, Part 1 was of similar length and was fantastic through and through. Perhaps it was what seemed like excess, uninspired dialogue. Excess and uninspired because there were times where after 1 line of dialogue I could recite what were likely to be the next 10 - 15 lines just from my head, no need for actors to say it. Bordering on cliche, if not a downright incursion into that territory. And even once or twice the sniff of preaching a message to the audience. Additionally, I understand the desire to connect to previous installments or wrap up old plot lines, but compared to the rest of the franchise this was like watching a Clydesdale run the Kentucky Derby.

The Handmaid's Tale (2017) S6 E9

No No No!!! I do not want this to end! With that being said, I am glad that it is not like many shows that are drug out for 28 seasons. Can we say about damn time Aunt Lydia! This was such an excellent way to end for most of those men, with one exception. The end was not a surprise with Lawrence getting stuck on the plane. Nick, you really should of listened.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
Arcangel2020 2 points 7 months ago.

I remember this show very well..it was during the heyday of such great tv series as “Heroes”, “Pushing Daisies”, “Reaper” etc, etc…unfortunately they were all the victims of the Actors & Writers Strike that took place and once the Strike was over? The shows either were cancelled outright or they returned and were a mere shadow of the first season, which led to their cancellations.
The Actors/Writers Strike of that time was also responsible for the dubious distinction of allowing such “Reality” tv series to takeoff and become popular like (the garbage) “Keeping Up With The KarTRASHians”

Code of Silence (2025)
elin 3 points 7 months ago.

Not a terrible show, but not anything special either. Love all the characters and the story is good and has a lot of potential. The thing is, the whole show felt extremely rushed and they should’ve given it 12 episodes instead of 6 to flesh out the story more.

Have a hard time seeing this get a second season.

Great cult classic, but I never could understand the line in the beginning when it talks about an entire city block exploding in green flames. When did that happen in the film?
